I’m really happy with this purchase. I am in a city where is space is a premium, so anything that takes up less room is important. This little surge protector made a world of difference compared to my horizontal one. It takes up far less space and actually has more plugs because it has the four outlets +3 USB ports. It’s also nice that it comes in black because it blends in with its surroundings, and is far less of an eyesore. I highly recommend it.A quick note, I really thought that I needed a larger one with more plugs and bought a different one first, but ended up returning it. This is really perfect if you don’t have an enormous amount of electronics that all require different plugs in the exact same space. It allows for my TV, a light fixture, a smart speaker, an extra outlet for other things, plus three usb ports for my iPhone, iPad, and fitness tracker (although I almost never charge all of them at the exact same time). The only drawback is that iPads really do charge faster when you use the plug instead of the USB port, because it has the specialized power adapter. Regardless, this really has more than you would initially think.

Cord is long enough to reach the plug, 5 feet away. Unit has a small footprint and doesn't take up too much space on my desk. Its super convenient being able to plug things in without having to crawl on the floor.

While traveling I stayed at a B&B, a home that was built in the 1850’s, so it did not have USB plugs. This was on the night stands next to the bed. Using the Amazon photo search feature, I found it and bought it. It is a small size, gives you that extra plugs and USB ports. Many items now use USB instead of traditional plugs, this is the perfect solution. I highly recommend.

I ordered a couple different power strips/towers for my desk setup & this is the one I ended up keeping. For my use It's convenient that the cable is relatively short. I would say it's best used with a desk that has some sort of cable management tray underneath (or an outlet directly below your desk) because you won't have tons of excess cabling to route and wrap around to hide etc.My main complaint is the weight of the tower itself, so I've knocked it a star for build quality. If you have a heavy plug you are using with this tower (example: MacBook Pro charging block) the tower itself will likely tip over/lean. It simply doesn't have the weight to keep itself upright. This is a pretty specific use case so I'm sure in most scenarios you'd be fine but it is worth noting. I'll likely just use some adhesive mounting tape on the base to secure it to my desktop.The power toggle on the top is convenient, but the clicking action doesn't feel super high quality. This makes sense, It's a super affordable power unit not an expensive hub. All in all it's perfect for my needs, would recommend.

It really works!

Thanks to TXU our energy provider our rate more than doubled this year and my husband and I went through our home to find all of those appliances that were sucking energy when not in use. We ended up purchasing 3 of these little “power towers” to plug those energy leaches into. It’s so easy to push the button on top when you want to use the appliance that you need without having to plug or unplug everything. We were very surprised how much our energy bill went down in just a few days. We went from $63 per week down to $20 per week!!! The biggest surprise was how much our Mr. Coffee coffeemaker used when not in use as well as our coffee bean grinder and microwave. Our washing machine was another energy hog when not in use, but the little tower was convenient to use, so now I’m unplugging it when not in use. If you’re in the same boat and want an alternative to shut off the power of your appliances I’d highly recommend these little power towers!!!

Perfect for my work station. Plenty of connections and yet not space-eating.
