Nice blanket!
That was my first attempt in crocheting in many years. But I’m happy with the result I got. Good quality yarn, easy to follow instructions. Took me around week to finish it. Also they put a little bit more yarn than actually needed for blanket, so I’ve got leftovers for my next project! Highly recommend this kit.

Not for beginners
A great kit, well packed, all you need to complete the blanket with the nice wool provided. I am a beginner, I opened the very scant instructions and hadn't got a clue, no pictures, just a pattern with instructions that made no sense. For some one with some experience of crochet, this is great value and a nice item to make. For a complete beginner I think you will struggle. I really had no idea how to start it so it was returned. One day when I have a little experience than I will have a go.

Instructions not beginner friendly
Quality materials provided are great quality and diagram is helpful once understood but the written instructions for round 2 was particularly nonsensical to a complete beginner. Round 1 was a bit better but still complex for a true beginner. Ended up watching several YouTube videos (Bella Coco's Granny Square video was almost identical in pattern so this and really helped me to get started for stitches and understanding the language/diagram). QR code would have been better linked to a similar style video than the electronic instructions (although handy too). For the ring it starts tight but it does stretch to a hole after a round or 2.For anyone stuck like I was for round 2.A) Slip stitch into the 3rd stitch of the 5 chain from Round 1. I struggled accurately counting chain stitches when looking back so I used a paper clip when starting each new round to mark the 3rd in the chain as I was making them.B) 3 chain (This will end up acting like the last treble in this round) marking the 3rd with a clip.C) Then add a 4 chain immediately after.D) Then do two trebles going through the nearby corner hole made in round 1.E) Then three more trebles but instead of going through the corner hole they are each going through one top of a treble stitch (see arrow on photo) from the three trebles from the previous round 1 below on that side.E) Then two trebles into the next corner hole. On my diagram pink = trebles through the corner, all other trebles are through top of treble stitches from the previous round.F) Repeat C through E three times, but on the third repeat do only one treble for step E (as your 3 chain from B at the start of the round acts as a treble). Then you can slip stitch into the 3rd of the chain and remove clip to start the next round. I've just finished the diagram so going to get harder I think but as I understand it the pattern for each round is:-3 chain (mark for later reference)-then for each side, 4chain, 2 trebles in corner hole, n+4 trebles in through top of previous round's trebles (where n=total number of trebles on side of previous round), 2 trebles in corner hole (leaving out the last treble on the last side).-then slip stitch into 3rd chain from start. Will update after completing rounds that go beyond diagram and also starting a new ball/finishing!
