Jesus I Trust in You
If putting Jim Gaffigan's name as the star of this documentary helps to sell more, than do it. He has only a minor speaking part, though he is his usual entertaining self. The star is really our Blessed Lord, who appeared to a Polish nun almost 90 years ago now to deliver a solemn but hopeful message: the time of justice is near, but the time for mercy is now. I am a devotee of the Divine Mercy message, being in need of mercy myself. This documentary revealed miracles unknown to me about the history of the image itself. Though I would have put more about the Divine Mercy message into the production, especially about the unmentioned words, "Jesus, I Trust in You," which Jesus insisted be inscribed at the bottom of the image, the documentary did cover what it set out to cover, the miraculous story of this Heaven sent image. I would highly recommend reading Fr. Michael Gaitley's work, Consoling the Heart of Jesus, or the Diary of St. Faustina along with watching this for a more complete understanding of the ocean of mercy that Jesus desires to pour out on the world. Make sure you put on the subtitles!

a MUST for devotees of Divine Mercy!
The story of the original image of the Divine Mercy is far groovier than I ever imagined! Just another incredible layer in a major chapter of Salvation History--which continues to unfold before us. Get it, watch it, share it! And pray!

Beautiful movie, felt a little long in the middle but still very good. A lot of the movie is in subtitles due to broke English or other language but this did not distract from how informational the movie is

Forget Jim Gaffigan. This is about MERCY
Some of this production was awkward. I didn't like any of the spots with Gaffigan; he clowned around is a peculiar way making it appear as if he felt self-conscious and self-focused. However, I learned some points about the Divine Mercy Image I previously missed even though this is a particular devotion our family has been practicing for many years. Do you want to know one of them? ****Keep reading for ***SPOILER ALERT**** (lol)St. Faustina coached Eugeniusz Kazimirowski while he painted the original which depicts Jesus Christ with His eyes cast downward - most of the other popular paintings have Him looking straight at the viewer. Until watching this video, I preferred Hyla's rendition. NOW I understand WHY Jesus' eyes were lowered: His gaze is the same as From The CROSS....melt my heart!!This and some other points make the viewing well worthwhile. I will re-watch and share with others, but fast forward past Jim Gaffigan. For some strange reason the people who packaged this felt they needed to promote this documentary using his name.....ok, whatever. I don't think it's helpful or adds to the work.

A fascinating Divine Mercy mystery
An enjoyable and fascinating little film following the quirky and unlikely journey of the original, inspired Divine Mercy image as revealed by Christ to his beloved secretary of Divine Mercy, St. Faustina. Engaging, informative, and inspiring.

The story of the most important Image in the world.
This excellent and very well-produced film tells the story of the *original* Image of Divine Mercy, the one painted under the direction of Saint Faustina and the only Image she saw during her earthly life. The film relates what happened to this astonishing and invaluable painting after the death of St Faustina and during the War, and in the years that followed; also, how it came to be at the Shrine where it is now greatly honoured. With many interviews not found elsewhere, including the testimonies of those most closely involved with protecting the Image, this film offers a unique perspective on what is surely the most singular and important religious Image in the world. For anyone interested in the story of Divine Mercy, this film is not to be missed.
