Genuine Parts 12639087 Intake Manifold Assembly, Black

I needed this intake manifold to perform my 5.3 to 6.2 intake manifold swap on my 17 Silverado. When the intake came it was packaged very well in a box, the intake was also encased in a blow molded case. I inspected the manifold and there were no cracks or any damage. I installed this and the 6.2 throttle body on my truck and the engine ran perfect, no check engine light and no tuning was required. If you are purchasing this to do the 5.3 to 6.2 manifold swap you will also need to buy the 6.2 PCV hose because the pcv port on the 6.2 is located on a different spot than the 5.3. You can also use regular heater hose and fittings but I recommend spending the 20$ to get the factory hose for a much cleaner look. Fitment on everything was perfect. I highlyRecommend this product.

This intake ported is a beastttt so buy it and go take it somewhere reputable to get ported , and buy a ZR1 TB to match to it like I did you won't regret it.

My truck definitely performs a lot better. When I had put 35s on the truck felt sluggish. The swap was also with other mods like a CAI, larger throttle body, and an aftermarket MAF sensor. After the swap and other mods the truck does not feel sluggish and my MPG increased a little, Unless I’m late to something. No it won’t gap a raptor or trx but the process is fun.

This is an OEM part. It came packaged extremely well just as OEM should.

This intake is an oem quality it works great as an upgrade if you have a gm truck with the 5.3 engine, installation took me about 2 hours. I would recommend this upgrade to anyone very pleased.

Everything about it was wrong!!!!!!!

I done the L86 swap to my 2014 L83. Packaging was great. Install was easy, L86 bolted up with no problem. Purchased L86 throttle body and all new gaskets as well. Only issue was the intake manifold cover and those awful Christmas tree zip ties on the back side of the intake. No check engine lights after install. I have TSP headers and this mod was must! Improved throttle response and sound! Going to get a tune to really bring it to life. If your thinking of doing this swap do it you won’t regret it.

If you’re on the fence about a 6.2 intake on a 5.3 just do it. Make sure to get the 6.2 throttle body as well. Would buy again.
