these files are large and sturdy. one grit for rough filing and shaping, the other for fine clean up - snag eliminating. the size is good if you have arthritic hands... easily hold the file steady and move the hand you are working on... instead of only moving the file... found this when my sister, with limited finger grasp in one hand, used one and found it easier to use than any other shaped file.The package quantity is far more than I needed, but I'll share with friends and family. I got this for me but it is “stronger” than I expected. I didn’t think I would have a use for it until I use it on my dogs! One of mine hates to get her nails cut or dremeled. It got way too long so one day I tried this in her. She still doesn’t like it but it’s getting to the point she’ll tolerate it and I can do a paw at a time. I’m just grateful something works. I tried the glass file for dogs on her, it didn’t do anything for her long nails.

I liked the coarseness of the 100 side. Made filing dip, acrylic and gel a breeze. I would repurchase in a heartbeat. Even after filing a set of nails, these files are still usable. After washing and sanitizing the color does change but its not too bad.

My husband fell in love with this kind of board when he needed a fine file to finish off a piece of cat furniture that had small corners to accomodate. Mine worked so well that he requested a supply to keep in his shop.

Great price for 18 files! They’re much bigger than I expected and work great for filing acrylic/dip powder nails.

100/180 file is best for shaping in my opinion the 80/80 is for removing bulk. These files get the job done.

Highly recommend. Although I purchased for personal use, this will be a lifetime supply of emery boards for me.
