So Cute
We have older boys, so when our 2 year old nephew comes to visit we have nothing for him to play with-I grabbed a few things to keep at our house for his visits and this little set was one of the items. I have to say, it is adorable! At two he is working on his fine motor skills, and he is completely enamored with my husband's fish tanks. He recognized these as 'fishies' and we happily played with this little set for hours in the sunroom! I like that this set will grow with him a bit-it is a memory game (You pull a card, and than look to 'fish' the corresponding one out of the board), but at this age he isn't quite ready for that yet. Instead I have him cover his eyes, and we simply look for a 'blue' or 'red' fish. The board itself is made of softer fabric-so no hard plastic edges for little fingers to get pinched on. The little fishing rods are so cute and since they are just like his older cousin's he had fun playing with them and pretending to fish from our dock as well. For the price, this is a really cute set-educational, as well as fun!

A quality fishing game.
A fishing/matching game that is of much better quality than the usual plastic rotating sets. The fishing rods look like actual rods, even though the heavy fishing line does not move up and down. The game encourages eye-hand coordination as well as visual perceptual skills. You need to match three fish to the same three patterns on your card. There are twelve different kind of fish patterns, so this works as a visual memory/observation game as well. The red string hooks attached to the fish initially need to be opened wider for younger children to be able to easily grasp. High quality and well made.

Not for an advanced 3 year old but cute
Cute idea but in reality it is small and after used first day my advanced 3 year old was bored with the basic patterns.

It's nice to a point.
Your child would have to have great imagination to even think to include this with like their kitchen set. (as a means to get their vegetables) I tried to do just that with my 2 year old but she rather take the veggies out and leave them rolling around everywhere. It's not very durable either since the only thing holding the top to the bottom is that little farmer in the middle but that doesn't even tighten all that much. So if your child has a tendency to throw these things when extremely excited it's not going to last. The cards are a nice feature to include yourself with your child but mine didn't really care for that either. Though this was really cute and probably would be fun, it's not for my child.

Fun toy
Fun you for littles. A couple of the carrots are a bit smaller than I’d like for a teething one year old. Great fine motor activity though just would recommend supervision with younger kiddos.
