Sturdy with a nice grip, and no plastic needed anymore!
Updated 6/10/20 for clarity and better info. I purchased a single tumbler with the bamboo lid. This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm packing my own water into the office now in larger silicone-wrapped glass water bottles. I poor water from those into this tumbler. As a tumbler it's easier to drink from than the larger bottles. I can put it in my bag without worrying about it cracking due to the protective silicone wrapping. And it's easier to wash than the water bottles. This reduces my overall time expended on washing, since I end up washing the large cumbersome water bottles less often. Rather, I wash this tumbler with the rest of my dishes at the end of the day.I do not use it as an on-the-go beverage container as I have a different product I prefer for that purpose. It could work well for that though.Regarding the liquids: I use this exclusively for water, so I don't have experience trying to clean out other stuff, like smoothies, soda, etc. I find it easy to clean because I don't have to scrub it, just get it soapy. If I was using it for smoothies, I'd invest in a bottle brush to be able to scrub out the bottom. I wash by hand, and it's difficult to reach the bottom of this tumbler (though not impossible).Regarding the straw: I don't use the straw and never intended to. I'm trying to avoid plastic. I'm more okay with silicone, especially on the outside to protect glass products like this. The hole in the lid is big enough to accommodate your own straw. I'd probably replace it with a glass straw if I needed a straw. The straw I received with the product seemed fine to me in general. Slightly wider in diameter than a normal drinking straw. (The straw doesn't have a ring to keep it inside the cup like I originally thought.)Regarding the lid: I like the quality of the bamboo a lot. It's well-crafted, smooth, and pleasant to touch. Also, they did a good job with the silicone fittings, so that the lid forms a good seal and doesn't look silly when you fit it on (I've bought other products that did *not* get this right--it can go a long way toward aesthetics.)Since I don't use this as an on-the-go water bottle, I only tend to put on the lid when the tumbler's mostly dry. It seems possible for the lid to mold if you leave it sealed with liquid in it for long periods. It is basically wood, after all, and wet wood can mold. If you want to use it this way, I recommend that you regularly wash the lid in soapy water and air it out so it doesn't stay moist too long. Don't run it in the dishwasher. And mineral oil can help the bamboo to last longer. The quality is good enough that it's worth it if you care about having a lid. If you don't want the mold risk at all, you'll want the metal lid version, or something with a silicone or plastic lid.Month update: I've now had this product for a month, and I intend to buy at least one more. I'll surely try to replace it if it ever wears out on me. It works really well as a bedside glass of water for me. Because it's a cylinder shape, it's doesn't knock over in the dark as easily as a traditionally shaped drinking glass. Even if it falls, it's unlikely to shatter with the protective silicone. It feels like an important part of my routine now; I don't feel I could do without it.Finally, the best part: There's no plastic that comes in contact with my water now. I fill up a few glass 5 gallon jugs at a local place. A jug sits atop a ceramic water dispenser with a stainless steel spigot that has silicone grommets. I've a glass pitcher in the fridge for chilled water. Another pitcher in the bedroom for late night hydration. It took some work, but it was worth doing! If you're interested in how I got there: Water jug: 5-Gallon Glass Jug Stainless Steel Spigot I haven't found the perfect water crock yet; the one I got leaks more water than I'd like. If I find the *one* I'll update it here. This is *not* the one I purchased, but you're looking for something like this. Primo is a popular brand--theirs may be good.

I was worried about mold
Read a lot of reviews before buying and there was a lot of mention about mold forming on the lid. I was so obsessed with the style of it I decided it's worth the risk and I'll find out for myself. I've had it a couple months now, wash regularly, and no mold! It's easy to clean, great size, fits comfortably in my hand and the car cup holder. Sadly, I lost a straw. Good thing it comes with two!

Love this so much but it is tough to clean
If you’re like me dishes are super annoying. This cup is just a hassle when it comes to taking the silicone cuff off to wash and putting it back on might be even worse. It also gets stretched out over time. But overall I love the aesthetic and it fits in my car cup holder so I love! If anything you can leave the silicone part off and it’s still super cute!

Great tumbler, don’t put lid in dishwasher.
I’ve had this tumbler for a year now and it holds up nicely. It’s cute, I get compliments on it everywhere I go. My only complaints are that the silicone sides stick to my car’s cup holder, so it’s hard to get it out. Secondly, the instructions a year ago said the whole thing was dishwasher safe. I can tell you the finish of the wooden lid came off and it also fell into pieces. I had to glue it back together. The cup itself and straw hold up nicely in the dishwasher.

Good cup
I like the cup it's good and the glass is sturdy I got it in Amber as well and I love the colors. Seems as if they fixed the problem with the moldy lid because now the bottom of the lid is all silicone/rubber and not the bamboo which I was happy with. Only thing I don't get is how you remove the silicone sleeve to clean the cup because it's super tight on there and I'm afraid that when I take it off it'll be hard to get back on. And also as you can see the cup does sweat which isn't something I'm picky about as I just wanted a glass cup for my morning iced coffee.Another thing I don't get is why they send you a plastic/silicone straw when the whole point is to be drinking from glass, wish they'd change that to metal or glass as well. But all in all it's good material glass and very cute!*Edit*Cup sweats a lot and does not keep drink cold very long. It's more along the lines of looks at this point. Also the rubber sleeve doesn't even need to come off.

Perfect tumbler!
I loved my first glass so much I bought a second one. I use them for my iced coffee, greens and collagen drinks, or anything I drink in my car. The silicone makes it easy to hold and the lid is tight and doesn’t spill. Plus they’re cute!

Sleeve was impossible to take off for washing otherwise I love it.
I gave it an overall 5 star because it's super cute and I appreciate the silicon coverings to protect the bamboo lid to help prevent mold. I also quickly try the bamboo lid after washing it for extra measure. The ONLY two things that bothered me were the silicon sleeve on the glass was SUPER snug and difficult to remove for washing. I just gave up and left it on. The part that attaches to the lid was easier to pull off than it was to put back on. Those were the only two things I had to say "bad". I don't see why anyone would be moving their liquid around all crazy in the glass but I tried it and of course, if I turn it upside down the liquid leaks out of the straw hole but otherwise it doesn't leak out from the lid which is good.

Good, but needs some minor improvements
Pros:• Pretty• Relatively affordable• Slim, fits well in cup holders• That's itCons:• Bad condensation• Did not happen to me, but I can see how the bamboo lid can easily get moldy• Cheap straw with jagged edges. (As if they just cut it with a scissors and called it a day)• Not a tight lid• Needs some kind of slit to see drink• Glass just randomly shatteredAll things considered, I will look into purchasing some similar tumblers on the market to replace this one

New and Improved Lid!
After a month of usage, the lid was beginning to mould so I contacted Tronco and they were very accommodating and sent me a whole new one. They changed there lids to have a silicon bottom so moulding no longer occurs. Love the new and improved water bottle!Note the new water bottle is a little taller and skinner than the original.

Do not buy this product!
Do not buy this product. After not even a few weeks the wood top developed black mold. This product was hand washed and only used a couple of times.Definitely not safe. Unfortunately theres no way to reach the sellers for a refund...

Poor quality
The idea of this tumbler is exactly what I wanted but unfortunately the quality is very poor. The glass is extremely thin, I would be surprised if it holds up for very long. The lid does not fit tightly and securely on. The straws that were provided were cheap, tacky plastic and a different colour from the cup. The bottom does not sit flush, meaning the cup wobbles when placed on a hard, flat surface. For the price I would not say it’s worth it as like I said, it doesn’t feel like it will last long.

Worth the wait, love the look and function.
Loving this tumbler. I waited so long for it, the shipping did take some time, but it's perfect! The only thing i didn't like was the plastic straws and that was just personal preference, I'm used to glass and metal straws so the plastic felt weird in my mouth. I ordered some long glass straws and now it's perfect for me!Edit: I've read some complaints about white spots or discoloration on the lid, I used some of my wood cutting board oil on it and it fixed that. I think it's just water spots from getting wet.
