Machine stops if you run voltage low
New Review 3/21/22 Older review below. First machine ordered would stop at random. I thought it was a issue with the machine. Second replacement machine ran fine at first but then started doing the same thing. I then realized that the reason it was stopping was because when I would lower the voltage below 7V. I like to run with a lower hand speed when doing intricate detail, stipple, shading with 3rl etc..etc.. Something will not allow this machine to operate in that manner and its like it creates too much resistance and stalls the machine entirely until you powercycle it. So in otherwords if using it for standard lines, shading, or color packing probably wont have an issue as long as your around 8v or higher. The machine looks cool, it has nice punch at higher voltage but its heavy and with the shut off issue will probably return both and look for something else. The design and color of the machine look amazing. It feels good and is comfortable to use but I can see having some hand fatigue on long sessions. Ive only used it twice so far so not sure how long it will hold up. When comparing to my Mast archer and axys Vahalla the fold is easily the Heaviest out of the bunch while being the most compact length wise. I do like that with a shorty battery mounted on top it doesn't feel top heavy at all. This will make a great backup machine or may use it for color packingUpdated 3/16/22 Today went to use with a fully charged DragonHawk battery and machine would run for 10 seconds or so and machine would shut off and stop working. I give it a few seconds and it start back working. I have been using the Dragon hawk battery for about 3 weeks or so and no issue with any of my other machines. Ive only used the Dragonhawk Fold about 3 or 4 times ran fine the first couple of times i used. Going to try to see if the replacement is any better will update after some time with the new machine.

Do not like this machine at all!
I was excited for this machine because it’s able to change strokes without tearing down the machine. First this machine is so heavy my hand went completely numb. Second the motor in this machine does not run consistently or smooth at all. The ink was not being pushed out consistently and I was getting spotty lines. I thought maybe it’s me so I had my business partner use it and she had the same issues. Waste of my money!!!

Best Adjustable Stroke pen under $200 IMO
I’ve tried a few different tattoo pens under 200, including the Mast Flip— I like this one much better. I’m just a beginner—give about 20 tattoos now and I’ve graduated to experimenting with the various stroke lengths (not needle protrusion). Longer for lining, shorter for shading…this pen is nice

Very heavy!
I like that it's versatile. That you can change how soft or how hard the needle hits. What I dont like is the weight. It is very heavy for a tattoo machine. It's also hard when the machine is covered to change the needle depth and stroke.
