Pretty great workout for my mostly out of shape legs.
• This machine is not really meant for those used to the higher end workouts a gym can provide. If you want that, look elsewhere. This is meant for people like me: no desire to visit a gym, want to work out legs for PT or general conditioning and maybe like I’m using it for some strengthening as I get back into running shape.• The overall machine is very sturdy. It should be. It looks like it was designed for industrial use.It is apparently rated for 265 lbs but I purchased it based on several comments from people weighing closer to 300 (I'm 285 as of this review) and it is handling me just fine.• It comes with a thin mat but it is short by about a 1/2 inch. I'd recommend a thicker mat or even piece of rug instead if you're using it on a hard surface.• It is intact apart from two plastic pieces meant to serve as steps I guess on the bottom frame. No reason to use them unless you want the looks. The LCD readout might be loose when you unpack the machine. Mine was. I’d recommend to the seller and manufacturer that the display be taped to the stepper’s frame before it is shipped. No electronics aside from the LCD readout. Batteries ARE included.• No adjustments can be made so if you’re looking for something to increase resistance or motion you won’t find that here. Not an issue for me as I’m finding the resistance to be more than enough for these out of shape legs.• The instructions, like most I’ve run into with various products lately, are lacking. The company should take better care to explain the machine especially the LCD readout. My display, for example, does not match the images on the product page and in neither case is there a list of what each measurement is. That honestly is not a big deal to me because I’m relying on time spent on the machine not steps but it may be for others so I thought I’d mention it.My display:o SCANo TIMEo CNTo TCNTo CALProduct Page display:o SCANo TMRo REPSo TTRo CAL• Speaking of steps: the only way this thing is going to track steps on your wearable is by moving your arms as you would during a normal walk or jog. It does work but you must remember to keep your arms moving. This is also not of major concern to me as I’m not worried about anything but time spent doing the workouts.Overall, I'm very very happy with it. Worth it for me. Might be for you too.

Decent
Ok so the holes to screw in the plastic covers do not line up unfortunately. Not a big deal as far as functionality goes; however definitely a big deal in terms of quality of construction. Great design, feels pretty sturdy, and love the lateral movement. Bought it for that reason alone. I also like the fact there’s no obnoxious foot rails that minimize your range of motion. You can really maximize your workout and increase core involvement because you’re forced to balance without help. The resistance is medium at best; wish it had higher resistance but again, you can maximize your workout by squatting lower and making it more challenging in other ways. This stepper was SO close to being perfect had the manufacturer increased resistance or made it adjustable and corrected the misaligned holes on the base.

Luv it!!!!!!
It is a solid piece of gym equipment! I am very picky about what I buy but this machine fits the purpose and is designed very well and is a steal for the price. With being home so much now I needed something to work out. 15-20 minutes daily to break a sweat is fine for me right now. I would recommend buying this definitely! The machine is made for a heavier person with the step hydraulics being tense. It is perfect for my needs.

Not worth the amount its selling for
The looks of this equipment is top notch. It is a really nice piece of equipment but not for the price. It is not smooth when using it. Its almost annoying when using it. I'm returning it for this reason. If it wasnt 124.00 I would probably just deal with it, but for that much money you wan to love it, not just deal with it

It Could Have Been Great
This stair stepper could be great. It seemed like the perfect solution to the fact that I’m now working from home and am planted firmly In front of a screen for 8 hours a day. This stair stepper is compact and easy to move, so I could keep it by my work space and take breaks throughout the day to get my body moving. When done, the whole thing easily fits under the table, out of the way. It seems solid. Here’s the problem: after about two weeks this thing started squeaking -LOUDLY! It’s painful to my ears to use it. I have put WD-40 everywhere that it will possibly go, but the squeak remains. It’s a shame, because this could have been great. Do not buy this if loud noise bothers you - I wish I could return mine.

Not made well
The main unit was sturdy, but the digital display did not function. At first, I thought the original battery was dead, so I replaced it with a brand new one. The display started up, but eventually shut off seconds into climbing. The display is cheaply put together, with no back to it, and the battery seems to not stay in contact with its casing. Despite the display not working, I climbed for 30 minutes straight and didn't break a sweat, and the unit was noisy while climbing. Lastly, if you're looking to store this unit under a bed, be sure the space clears 12 inches to easily slide it under the bed. I think I'll just stick to burpees...

Loving it, sturdy
Takes some getting used to. Only had it for a week, but feeling confident enough to step without a spotter. First time, had my son stand near for support. I'm a very heavy momma. Weight limit is 120kg/265lbs. I am 285-chancing it on the weight limit, but actively losing weight for the last year and wanted to catch it on sale. Found it to be very sturdy and stable, so I'll probably use it for short bursts everyday. The little pad it comes with is really too small for it to rest on.My red stepper is only partially red. The photo shows a few more accents than the one delivered, but dont care!It is pretty damned heavy-12kg/25lbs. I use it on a hardwood floor with the teeny pad, it also has rubber bumpers on the bottom. Again-very sturdy and strong.

Powerful and effective
I had a vertical stepper and it was hard to use.I wear size 9 sneaker as a woman, this machine offers a lot of room. Yes I do have to put a chair in front of me for balance, but I sweat up a storm after 10 minutes. I love that I can position my feet in several ways to target different areas on my leg.Totally worth the money,my legs have slimmed down in three weeks
