Blink Video Doorbell Corner Mount – White

Well designed, with wired and wireless options. Good field of view and image quality.
The headline summarizes my thoughts!Installation (physical) was straightforward, with the hardest part being drilling holes in my stucco exterior wall. Glad that I was able to wire the bell with the existing (12v?) wires for my old door bell. The chime in the house works as earlier, and now the bell also rings locally, when someone presses the button.I've installed it with a Sync 2 module to enable local storage of video clips. I get a free 30-day subscription plan from Amazon/Blink and might continue using it for a while to leverage those cloud-based features (for motion detection, mainly).

What was needed to hold our doorbell to the siding.
This was a perfect fit to hold our doorbell to the new siding that was being installed. Very satisfied.

Wrong categories for this item but Good
Easy to mount this first, then mount the doorbell to it. Used my own screws to mount it though- fits my need

Perfect angle!
This mount creates the perfect angle to see a little more than just a straight view of surrounding. I love it.

Good for large entranceways!
When I originally installed my Blink camera, it wasn't capturing the full view of the entranceway due to having a wide door. This angled spacer/shim was easy to install and worked perfectly to provide just enough angle for the camera to capture the full doorway while also allowing it to still detect motion further out from the entryway. Good product, highly recommended!

seems solid enough - if you have a flush surface
The wedge puts the blink doorbell mounting point on an angle of roughly 45 degrees. If you are replacing a wired doorbell at roughly the normal height they are usually installed at, the video picture is pretty good, catching anybody who comes to the door or rings the bell fairly clearly, because the lens is very wide angle, almost fish eye.A lot of people complained about the quality of the flat, flush mount bracket, that it felt kind of cheap and insubstantial. You still use that piece but it gets sandwiched between the wedge and doorbell now, and the wedge is of stronger quality and so the resulting mount seems fairly secure. I have no worries about it blowing off in a windstorm or anything like that. But just like the flat mount, this is going to work better if you have a fully flat, solid surface to screw it into.
