The BEST Vegetarian Broth
I use this broth for so many recipes, especially in the non-summer months. I cannot rave enough about this broth. There are NO additives, NO colors, NO preservatives. The broth powder is made in Germany, where they know quality food. I would never have the time to make my own broth from scratch--even though I cook all meals from scratch--and frankly, I don't think anyone's homemade broth can hold a candle to this. Bonus is that in the winter, when I need something for a snack and am sick of herbal tea, I make a cup of this to drink. DELISH!

Surprisingly satisfying!
I was looking for a delicious, yet healthful vegan vegetable broth powder and came across this brand. I did my research online and almost every site had favorable reviews for this product. Reading some of the other reviews for other brands (*cough, Vogue, **) I found them suspicious (always need to be careful with reviews, since companies hire people to write positive reviews). I was torn between buying this product or Rapunzel... I was not familiar with this brand, but was familiar with Rapunzel because I bought it in the past at a local Whole Foods and thought it was adequate but did not like the fact that the cubes contained so much palm oil (took forever for a cube to dissolve into boiling water). I am in no means a crunchy granola vegan and think that I am pretty discerning when it comes to taste.I followed the directions of this product and dissolved 1 teaspoon into 1 cup boiling water.*Pros* The result was a fine tasting broth... some of the yeast extract did not fully dissolve into the solution (I stirred quite a bit) but the broth was good nonetheless... surprisingly, the broth was not as salty as I thought...Additionally, you can see all the bits and pieces of the herbs that this product contains.*Cons* The container is a bit flimsy - it was hard to pull off the inner aluminum foil. If not careful you will have vegetable powder all over yourself. This may be trivial, but the packaging is very outdated. It's 2012 and the company can surely hire a graphic designer that can produce better packaging design than what they have now...While I was researching, it seemed as though a fair amount of people make their own vegan vegetable powder. Almost all recipes use nutritional yeast as its base, but differ on the rest of the ingredients (for instance, once used powder versions of many ingredients, while another recipe basically took whole vegetables chopped up, cubed, and dehydrated and food processed into powder form).I prefer powder broth over cubes - it's a lot more convenient, and you have better control and adjust the strength of your broth. With this said, the broth does in some way feel like it is missing something... I might purchase the Rapunzel powder to see how good that product is. I predict that I might get tired of this broth (considering Amazon sells it to you in a pack of 6) it isn't a bad idea to have a back-up brand to change up the flavor. The Rapunzel powder however has more salt, and seems to have less vegetable ingredients (I like the fact that this brand has a lot of vegetable ingredients, and some that are not common in the U.S., like lovage). What Rapunzel has going for it is that it is organic, while this is just "all natural" (which is fine).Buy all your vegan broth products on Amazon - you will get an amazing price. I can't find any of these products at a normal supermarket, and Whole Foods charges an arm and a leg for these things. Even with many new Trader Joe's that just opened up in NYC giving Whole Foods competition and a run for its money, TJ just doesn't have the wide variety of niche products that Whole Foods has.Update**: This product tastes BETTER than the Rapunzel vegetable broth powder (I have both). Using the recommended directions for both products, Seitenbacher has a deeper, more complex flavor whereas Rapunzel's tastes very salty (salt is the #1 ingredient in Rapunzel). If you want flavor, go for Seitenbacher - if you are obsessed about everything being organic, then go for Rapunzel.

Best tasting broth mix I have found!
Super (or souper... lol) quick and easy and tasty. I'm vegetarian and have tried several broth mixes...few were any good. They were either greasy, gritty or salt free. Seitenbacher is the best!

The best on the market
I bought this powdered broth mix to use in conjunction with the Almased weight loss program. The program calls for drinking a lot of home made broth daily along with the Almased drink, and I don't have the time or money to chop pounds of fresh vegetables and simmer broth every day. After a lot of research, I discovered this brand and it is the absolute best I have tasted. It is suitable for any diet as it is free of dairy, gelatine, meat, gluten, dairy, fat, cholesterol, or artificial ingredients. The only exception is those on a low-sodium diet as it does contain quite a bit of sodium-- 450 mg, but still way less than the 720 mg per cube of the vegetable boullion cubes in my pantry, which list salt as the first ingredient followed by a lot of artificial stuff. The broth is very flavorful, and you can see and taste the bits of herbs and vegetables. It contains nutritional yeast extract, carrots, onions, turmeric root, parsley, leeks, nutmeg, garlic, lovage, celery, pepper, balm, dill, paprika, rosemary, and mustard. It is very satisfying to drink a cup of this savory broth as part of a weight-loss program; it helps eliminate food cravings. However, I will definitely be using it in cooking as well, for soups, stews, sauces, and more. I am glad I bought six containers as I will definitely use them! Very reasonably priced.

A Great vegan soup base!
I make what is a really good vegan French onion soup, using by using the Seitenbacher Veggie broth, along with a bit of organic pinot noir and water instead of beef broth. After caramelizing several sweet onions, then adding in the minced garlic, I add some wine, fresh thyme and bay leaves to the veggie broth in water. ... I do this in an InstantPot....The broth is also great mixed in by a very small amount into a bit of almond meal to make a coating for cut okra that can be lightly browned in a skillet, or to sautéed veggies such as broccolini. It is very handy to have on hand if you like flavor and don't want to rely on meat based broth.

Oil Free, Checmical Free and Delicous!
Delicious! I love it with my ramen noodles. And I prefer this over any of the canned or boxed vegan broths. If I don't have any home made veggie stock on hand, this is my go to product. Amazingly it tastes like chicken bullion broth. I so love this. Also it is so nice when you are not feeling well, and need a cup of old fashioned bullion. This does the job quite nicely! I am a whole food, plant based person, and I find this product fits in well with my life style because it doesn't have any added oils, and other chemicals. I can't even begin to tell you all of my frustration of finding a suitable bullion or broth, either this type, in concentrate, or in cans or boxes. They seem to need to add OIL to their product. Oil is very inflammatory in my body, so I shy away. Plus all the other alternatives to an instant bullion/broth seem to have loads of other ingredients that I probably need a chemistry degree to understand - a no go for me.
