False Advertising
The description says "will fluoresce ringworm." My cat has ringworm and it does NOT show under this light. I brought the light to my vet - the ringworm on my cat showed under the vet's light in his office, and not this light. He said this is the wrong light for ringworm. I defer to him and what I saw with my own eyes. I bought this to find spores around the house, but it just lights up every little speck of dust around. Useless for my sole reason for purchase.

Best little UV light on the market!
If you think this is just another cheap UV light, think again. I bought one at a local hardware store, and loved it so much, I bought one from Amazon because my store did not have any more in stock. It's a rugged, little "flashlight" style, with the 9 bright LED's. I hear people complaining that the area it lights up is not very big. Well..HELLO! It's a miniature UV light! If you want to light a bigger area, buy the 24 inch blacklight! I was astounded when I pointed the UV light on to my carpet and saw all the urine stains left behind by animals previously living in my home lol. Many things can be detected under UV light. You just have to experiment with it. Oh, and if you receive yours and it seems to act like it's not making good contact, such as flickering, unscrew the LED top part off and you will see a silver ring that may be loose. Mine was, but I managed to tighten it up with a flat object, and now it makes great contact. I thought I would have to send it back, but that was fixed. Remember, this isn't a toy, not to be handled by children. The UV light is not good for the eyes, especially these bright LED's. So just buy one, and have fun, but be safe.

Checking money review. It can function but there is better for same price.
You can see the magnetic stripe but it doesn't glow the different colors like the other UV light I reviewed (Dri-Mark tri-test and UV pen). The UV pen is much better because the magnetic strip glows the colors. The other thing I didn't like is it is button on/off versus the UV pen which toggles on/off. I believe the difference is the UV wavelength used. The Dri-mark products uses an optimum wavelength that will glow the colors. Unfortunately, the information is not easily accessible and for $10, I can not waste the time to analyze further. Works with no issues.
Works fine with no issues. Very similar to the cheap regular multi-LED lights you can buy anywhere, only with UV LEDs. Product quality not exactly what I expected, but again, it works fine and I would buy it again. It would be nice to have the specific wavelength published in the specs to help with determining applications.

Great Lilttle Black Light!
Got this black light for a special purpose. I needed to inspect children's heads for lice and was told this was a great resource for a good check. I checked 3 children's heads, and was able to see they were clear of this pest. The product was made well, compact and fits in my purse. I also can check for hotel room issues with the compact black light. I would recommend this product and it came in the time it was promised.

Drains batteries but it proved my son wrong!
My son stayed with me over the summer and I tried to tell him that is cat was peeing on the floor in the room. He said that his cat wouldn't do that so I purchased this UV light so that we could see it. He sure was "enlightened!"The batteries do not last long.

Where are the Scorpions?
I lead nature hikes as a Terwilliger Nature Guide through WildCare. Early on, someone shared how thrilled the children are when a Scorpion is discovered-as their camouflage/defense, they blend in to the earth, however, when we shine our UV flashlights on the little critters, they turn a beautiful tercious color! It's a great way to begin a hike, from then on, they are very excited about nature...which is our goal. This flashlight is the perfect size to slip into one of our many pockets and very durable! Love it!
