Golden State ArtAcid Free Pack of 50 Mix 5x7 Photo Mats Mattes Matting with White Core Bevel Cut for 4x6 Pictures in Premier

I decided to mat and package my artwork for a popup I did in New York, and thought it would be fun to mix and match colors. I bought this same listing three times over the past month or so. The first two times, there was a good mix of colors (light blue, dark blue, red, greens, silver, yellow) with browns. The third time was a total disappointment. There were about 4 white mats in there, and the rest were brown, taupe and grey. I only used about half of the batch because I did not have a lot of art that worked with the brown. I would still take my chances on a future purchase because the price is so good, but it wasn't ideal.

I am a professional Artist and was so excited to find these pre-cut mat backing boards to attach my watercolors to and use for my 5x7 frames... unfortunately all 50 mat boards have been cut 1/4” smaller than the 5x7 size as advertised... can’t use them due to the width coming up short in the frame... very disappointed!

Very happy with the color selection, pleasantly surprised by 3 metallic shades. Im adding a photo of the set I received, as I had wished there were more example images available, for potential shades/textures. Also, no 2 shades match, or rather none were duplicates, at least of the 25 pack I got. I was somewhat hoping for a few doubles, in case I wanted to use them in a side-by-side or collage type frame. Maybe the higher number packs might have doubles, but for my purposes 25 mattes was already overkill, but a better price than single options, and multiples seem to mostly come in white or black only.

This is a great buy--includes 100 each mats, backing boards, and plastic sleeves. The color assortment was pretty random, but I didn't have any colors that I felt I just couldn't use at all. I had a couple with very small dings on the corners, but none that I felt were so badly damaged they couldn't be used--the dings would be hidden by the frame once the artwork was framed. One other review mentioned that the mats seemed thin, but I found them to be of a standard thickness and plenty sturdy enough to mount my photographs. I've got to say, I was very pleased. Photo is of some of my artwork matted and framed in these mats.

This is the second time I’ve purchased these. I liked tho color variety of my first order better than this last order. You don’t have a choice so you may get a few neon orange or bright purple ones. The ones I don’t like I paint over so it works. These are great for your art. I’ve made small personalized graduation certificates, encouraging sayings, and art to give away as gifts. These make them look professional! Would highly recommend as long as you don’t care what colors you get.

I'm disappointed, the picture is misleading, it makes you think there are multiple bright colored mats like red, purple, yellow, etc. in the picture. In fact, the colors were white, cream, and mostly darker colors like dark green, light brown, dark brown, navy blue, light blue and pink. Of those 25 mats, there are only 2 light blue and there are 4 pink which doesn't go with any of the other colors included. In fact, I don't even see any pink in the picture. I'd say you can't be sure what colors you will get and they may not resemble the colors shown in the picture. The packaging was fine. It was same day delivery promised, but the order came as a two day delivery.

I wanted to frame 4 x 6 photos in 5 x 7 frames, these mats are exactly what I needed to achieve the look I was after.The color assortment was decent. There a few that I won't use. It would be great if they offered assorted colors all in a particular color family, such as brights, pastels, neutrals, earth tones etc. Or a box of a single color, other than white. All in all, I would buy these again.

I swear I'll never need this many mattes--not to mention all this size--in my life, but this packet of stuff was amazing! Very good quality, even considering the price, nice selection of colors, truly fit into frames without bending (don't need to be trimmed; I used one with these frames: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KXQKX87/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) The cut on them is nice and they are positively NOT cheap-looking pieces of cardboard, not one bit.A useful thing to keep around with your photo stuff in the event you suddenly have a boatload of things you need to frame!

These are well made sets, the sleeves are indeed resealable. My only quibble is that while there is a mix of colours to the mattes, many are just not all that appealing. I would order plain white or spring for the black ones were I doing it again.

A good assortment of matte colours, but I would have preferred more of a distinction between colours.

Loved it. But I thought these are overpriced.
