I didn’t realize the waist on this coat sits low. I thought it was an empire waist because of the bottom gathers. I have a very pronounced hour glass figure so a low waist makes me look fat. But if you can rock the natural waist look, you will probably live this. My daughter is slender and has narrow hips. If I had ordered a smaller size I would have given this to her because it really is nice in person. The material is thick and it feels like wool but not scratchy wool and the inside is fully lined all the way down the sleeves with a satin type material that feels very luxurious. I have a few Grace Karen coats and I love them. But you will find that, even though the quality is good, their consistency in sizing is not. I would order your normal size but give some time to return and reorder if the one you get has off-sizing. Usually I have found the off-sizing is in the waist not the shoulders though.

I was a bit nervous to order because of some of the other reviews/photos. One I saw was super wrinkled and the pleats needed ironed back in. Thankfully mine came nicely folded with no wrinkles. The material isn’t super thick, which other reviews stated and I wasn’t really worried about. Also the reviews stating the buttons feel cheap were accurate, but again, I wasn’t too worried about it.I’m 5’1 and ordered the medium, which is good because it was really tight around my chest. It didn’t want to button easily. I usually have that problem though, so I am not too heartbroken and it still looks good unbuttoned.Overall I am happy, it looks like the photo and came in good condition and I am excited to wear it.

Product fit well, good warmth, appears as shown, ect. Good product!2 small criticisms: the top button tends to break off fairly easily, but with some very minimal sewing knowledge its an easy fixAlso, at least on my body, the sleeves tend to ride up the arm a bit when you bend your arm so they end up looking a little bit short sometimes(as shown in the picture) Tbf tho I have rather broad shoulders so that could be a contributing factor.4.5 out of 5! 👍

This is a beautiful coat and is very well made. I'm sure it would be very warm but not too much. I was disappointed that the sleeves would have to be hemmed (no big deal). The only reason I returned it is the pleats that would give it the nice shape, it seems like they didn't add enough material to make them where they make good pleats. They would have to be ironed but again, no big deal. I looked at the nice pictures in the customer reviews but it's hard to tell the issue with the pleats. It's really too bad because it is very lovely.

Pretty, soft, baby pink, well made. I purchased XL. I am 5'3 & 215. It fits well, more fitted look in this size. I returned a XXL because the look was too baggy for me. The buttons look pretty & solid but feel very cheap to the touch. Doesn't ruin the coat tho.. I will change out the buttons for more solid ones. The coat is very beautiful & well made. If you want to wear thick sweaters under it .. you should size up. I don't like that feel or look.. its too bulky for me. A thin sweater & top worn together will fit under this coat. It is not heavy.. if you live in really cold states Like Chicago or New York.. this will be a fall coat . It you live in warmer winter states like Georgia.. it will work as a winter coat. Buy it!

I just received my coat and I read the information about sizing up a size which I did but it is still tight around the waist. I'm not sure if I size up another size that would be too big. Pondering over this.

Purchased a Large for a 5'6, 155 lb woman. Could not close around chest and too short for arms. The person does have longer than usual arms, but a large should have closed around the body. Will be exchanging for an XL if in stock. Color and quality seem good.

This coat is beautiful. However in the images it doesn't really show you how puffy the shoulders are. I personally don't like that style and sent it back, but if you like that then it does give it a very vintage look!
