After two years of struggling to cut 8-10 ounce leather for my knife sheaths, this head knife goes through that same weight of leather like a hot knife through butter. I don't know about others, but my item is sharp out of the box. If anything, the handle is about 1 to 1.5 inches too long to push the blade with my palm with two fingers on the side of the blade to stabilise it in a vertical position while cutting/pushing through. However, I will learn to adapt and live with it. And, THIS Amazon delivery was two days ahead of schedule.😊. I note too, that this head knife had now gone UP by $20 from when I ordered it last week......Sometimes, you get lucky.

The handle is solid and not flimsy. Super sharp and makes the cuts easily. Shipping was fast and wrapping is nice.

I would have rated then round knife in the 4-5 range if had it arrived complete. The metal ferrule that is around the top of the handle was loose. Which means I have to fix it, therefore a low score. Not a big deal but I paid for a finished product. Several pictures posted of this issue aready from other buyers.+ The blade arrived sharp, and will not require much work to get it ready for leather.+ Handle feels good and looks nice.+ Very few if any scratches on the blade.- Based on the ferrule issue a low rating on overall attention to detail and quality.
