Fun toy for a range of ages.
I got this Gemini&Genius Dinosaur Toys Dilophosaurus for my 70-year-old father. It does say in the description that this is for three and above and he is technically over 3 years old. It does warn that this contains small parts that may not be suitable for children under three. However, the only small parts that I see are a person may break off from the toy, and then yes that would be an issue. Now, this could be applied to a lot of toys and yes children can be rough with toys and so I would take that into consideration when buying this, especially with the hands and some of the face. As cute as this is I would not buy it for any of the children in my family that are under three do the fact that they can often be rough with toys banging it into things and it could potentially break. All of that being said, I am writing a review for a toy for my father, it's that point in my life. He will love this as much as I could see any child loving it. Although he will use this in a different way than probably a child would. It is a decently built toy the parts that are more flexible do seem to be fairly sturdy. He likes to take photographs of weird things specifically toys of animals, dinosaurs, or whatever else he can find that is unusual. Items in unusual situations. It makes him happy and this does that well. He can do this with this toy in various things and we'll hold up well under a variety of conditions. The toy itself is not just a 3D model that has been printed and then painted the colors are fairly well set in and so therefore it will hold up decently long term.It will be a great addition to his collection and I could imagine that this would be a great addition to my nephew's collection who also likes toys of the sir However I've been told not to get my nephew any more toys because he's got enough so this is going to my father.

Won't stand on its own
Given I collect dinosaur figurines, my first priority second only to aesthetics is an ability to stand independently as a display item. This will not stand on its own. The manufacturer recommended soaking in 100°F water for 15 minutes and reshaping in a description of another of their dinosaurs, so I tried that.I could get it to stand briefly, but the plastic would not hold the new shape no matter what I did, and would revert back to its unstable configuration. I can't even recommend it as a toy, given while the body is quite durable, the moveable mouth seems like it would easily break if a small child played with it much, and older children would probably also like it to stand. I am going to return mine. I really wanted to love it because it looks fabulous, but not being able to stand is a dealbreaker for me.

Great collectable, lousy toy
My son's favorite dino is the Carnotaurus and I just knew this would make his day. I, unfortunately, didn't read the size in the description and assumed it was the size of the dinos you find in the dollar bins of stores. It's detailed, but it's the smallest dino in his collection now. Also, it didn't even last a month before pretend play caused the whole mouth to come apart. Great for a collector, not so much for kids who will play with it.

Pretty Good Dinosaur!
This was my 1st purchase from Gemini&Genius, and I also have a product review of their small raptor that we bought and are very pleased with. This T-Rex is beautifully painted, stands on its own, is very sturdy, and it’s mouth opens and closes, which we love. The only downside is that one of its teeth is already missing in the front and the paint has worn off around the edges, and we’ve only had it a week or two. However, my 5 year old son has 3 older brothers, and they play hard with their toys. He said it just makes the T-Rex look tougher anyway! So we are overall pleased with this purchase!

Good not great
They are very detailedMy son loves these but plays rough so glue joints on legs may break (only the T-Rex)The jaw has held up well on all of them so farThey are detailed enough for display and pretty tough considering what it has gone through (baths, stairs, mouths, outside, etc
