This doesn’t disappoint
Pleased with the quality of netting. Size of plexiglass rods nice and thick ,similar to size of a chapstick tube. Metal base sturdy yet easy to move. Assembly easy. Netting strong and seems to withstand the hardest of drives. Would purchase again in a heartbeat. Nice price to quality ratio.

Sturdy, will not fall over in the wind
This is a review for the SKLZ Home Range Golf Net.We were looking forward to getting this backyard golf net and am happy to say we like it a lot with a couple of quibbles. The net overall meets its objective of catching golf balls that are struck into it. The base is solid and will not fall over in the wind which is a problem we’ve had with other golf nets. That’s obviously a big plus. The instructions and its pictures could be improved as the assembly was a little bit more challenging than some other nets I've used in the past.Another suggested improvement would be to add a 'bullseye' target in the center of the net, like some other nets we’ve used.Overall, a good and sturdy net that looks like it will last a long time if left outside in the elements.

This net is terrible
This is what the net looks like after 2 weeks of hitting golf balls. The front net is nearly completely torn up, and there is one large hole in the back main net. It's totally useless now. DO NOT BUY THIS

Brilliant design, but is didn't last. Will they honor their warranty?
The front net to catch the golf ball is brilliant. It tends to roll up on impact, and then unroll, dropping the ball at the base of the net. The problem is that after 6 months of usage (on average twice a week) the front net has developed a hole. There is a one year warranty on the product. I have contacted the warranty department. I will change my rating if they send me a new net, otherwise I would not recommend buying the product.

Very sturdy in construction and net thickness! Great buy!
I have tried a variety of these over the years, most lasting short time periods before being scrapped or replaced. Most times, the net gives out ... or the unit is so rickety, I lose interest in using it. With this unit, it feels like the most 'professional' setup I've used. In the past most 'home practice' nets have not been sturdy ... this one feels like what you'd see at a professional facility. What you get in sturdiness, you pay for in convenience. This takes a bit more time to set up. I have it under 5-7 minutes from setup to breakdown. While it is too tall for my garage, it is easy enough to put this up in my driveway and take it down when finished. The 10 minutes of breakdown is what I'd spend driving to/from the range. You don't need to stake this down as it is freestanding, which in the winter is key as driving pegs/stakes into frozen ground is impossible. The size of the net is good. You need to find your range here as to how close you want to be. I have a lot of loft on my shots, so closer makes me feel more comfortable. The photo of the guy using it is much further than I can be. I'd really have liked to see them include a small mat with a tee because in the winter, you aren't going to taking shots off frozen grass or concrete. I will have to buy one of those to use this. The metal is solid on this and its well made, which is the major strength. Flimsy products just don't last and this will stay put nicely. The net is also a lot better than other units. A lot of the units which feature a 'target' are taught. Over time, the nets degrade. In a matter of weeks, or months, these units become useless as the nets begin to unravel and get holes in them. This one features a 'catch net' system of a loose net which absorbs the impact and a taught net in the rear, which can also stop a ball. Some mention the lack of a target ... why would you need a target? Maybe for fun ... but this seems like it would actually hinder you from practicing for real shots.Overall, this is the best net you're going to find for the price. I've used several. I'd prefer a dome or a cage setup but those cost 2 - 4 times what this does. While the setup is a bit complicated and takes a little more technical skill, the sturdiness makes up for it. This will last a long time and the net will hold up to the hardest hits. If you are going to buy one net in the price range, make this the one.

Much better than previous setup
The media could not be loaded. We are kinda stuck indoors during the winter with the recent 5’ of snow over the winter break! I have a high school varsity golfer who can’t get enough golf so this SKLZ golf net has really come in handy. As you can see in the video it sets up nicely in a pretty tight space and isn’t too tall to hit the garage doors when they open.We previously had a golf net that had a “target” on it that was nothing but a sheet of nylon. Within the first day, he had already sent a ball straight through the nylon rendering it useless. The SKLZ net doesn’t use a target and instead leverages a net in front of another net setup to absorb the force of the ball. Additionally, I really like the solid metal bar at the back that acts as a foundation for the net (something the other one didn’t have either). This translates into a solid unit that doesnt move at all when it’s hit at all force.Bonus: Carry bag and anchors also included with the net.If you found this review helpful, please take the time to hit the helpful button below. Thank you!

Still haven’t heard from customer service
Wore holes through the net after about a month of every day use. Submitted an email for a warranty claim over a month ago, but I still haven’t heard from a person. Automated email asked for some follow up information, but that was weeks ago.

Need a great golf hitting net?
The Good:-Easy to set up-Compact when folded up-Great for practicing-Comes with case-SturdyThe Bad:-NoneThe Bottom Line:I use this SKLZ hitting net in my backyard and it’s great for me and my kid to work on our golf game. It is easy to set up and it is sturdy. The net easily catches our balls and have had no issues. It is easy to fold back down and keep in the garage. Overall, I would recommend this golf net for its portability and sturdiness.
