All steps - from the ocean to the jar - take place in Amagansett, a small, oceanfront hamlet in the Hamptons area of Long Island, New York. By carefully balancing solar evaporation and exposure to the crisp, clear ocean breezes, seawater slowly and naturally forms into beautiful white, coarse grained crystals with a mild flavor and a distinctive soft "crunch" that enhance and boost the flavors of any food. Amagansett Sea Salt is solar evaporated outdoors in the sunshine and bathed by ocean breezes and not trapped in a greenhouse, nor boiled or heated in an oven or kiln. No chemicals or anti-caking agents are used. Use Amagansett Sea Salt as a finishing salt and dress your foods sparingly. Packaged in an attractive square glass jar with a cork top.
