These are AMAZING! No heat! Takes a minute to figure out how to get your hair to slide through but once you get it, you’ll find a groove. I have #donnabella #extensions and it still worked great! I sprayed my hair with water, lightly brushed each section that went into the curler, then slept on them. Definitely not the most comfortable but worth it! Couple of watch outs- don’t soak your hair OR make sure it’s dry before you take them out. When taking them out, do one at a time. Most come out perfect but some need a little help and that is as easy as using your fingers to straighten the curl back into place.

I have LONG extremely straight hair. I have tried every curler on the market. And the thought of returning to a 90's Spiral perm, just to have curls (uggh). But now I can have curls whenever I want!. Yes there is a learning curve when putting them in by yourself. (40 minutes my first time) Yes you will need to allow time let them air dry (2 hours for my hair) But LOOK AT THOSE CURLS!! I did apply a small amount of styling gel to my wet hair prior to applying the curlers. And removing them was a snap! I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND these curlers!!

These are not comfortable to sleep in if you twist the strand before threading it through curl former. Twisting creates tension, but it also helps prevent hair from getting caught in the hook when threading. So sleeping puts pressure on the side touching pillow which increases the tension of twists. 1 pack will not be enough to curl entire head. When done correctly, using small sections, it creates weight. It puts a lot of extras going on up there you’re not accustomed to moving around when you move. The thicker the section, the longer it takes to dry and ultimately form your desired curl. My daughters’s hair is thick. We section her hair into 4 quadrants. She will sit under dryer for 5-10 mins after each section. This is not a must or even a step necessary to achieve curls. Just a suggestion for quick curl achievement without having to sleep in them. My only complaint about these is the removal process. The ends don’t open up when you squeeze them together. You have to hold end with one hand, and get your finger tip under rim. Slightly lifting up on rim will allow curl form to gently slide off of hair without pulling causing discomfort. These curl formers create beautiful curls without the damage of heat. Unless, you use a dryer like I do.

I bought these curlers for colorguard hair & practiced a few times in the days before my first show. It takes several tries to figure it out, and the first few times it took almost 2 hours to do my whole head. Once you figure out the right placement it’s not horrible though, just tedious and a bit tiring for my arm. The key is TINY pieces, I don’t have that much hair but I just ordered another set so I could do smaller pieces and still get it all done at once. My biggest issue was that about 4 curler pieces came with rips in them so they were unusable (hair would get stuck) and one of the curling rods came with the end that connects to the top part damaged. It looks like it had been snapped. I bought the one with 2 rods specifically so I could have someone help me and we could get them done quick the night before a show but it’s unusable. I tried taping it together and it kept coming apart. I didn’t return it because I needed to use the curlers and didn’t have time to wait for another set to come in. I’m hoping hot glue will work because I really need the extra rod. The curls were fantastic but it doesn’t seem like the best quality since it came damaged. If you’re willing to spend a lot of time and effort putting them in, I say go for it, the results are great! They’re not for everyone or for daily use but they’re nice tight and well formed curls that work great for my purpose, aka colorguard. (I put them in the night before with mousse and damp hair and wear a massive bonnet to keep all the curlers in. It’s not the most comfortable to sleep on but sleeping on a squishmallow helps!)

Thank you to the seller for solving the problem!**I was so excited to get this product because I wanted easy no heat hair curlers to help style my hair, when I was trying to apply the curlers I had put a couple in and then I went to grab another one out of the bag and there was BLACK hair in the curlers that I had bought BRAND NEW!! I paid $25.00 for new curlers and I found that OVER HALF of them had someone else’s hair in them! Also before the black hair incident when I went to apply one in my hair the stick got caught inside the curler and broke the stick and the curler itself! Plus when the stick got stuck it made my hair get stuck inside the curler too and so I was literally having to rip at my hair in order to get it out without cutting my hair off! This product would have been great if I was not sold USED curlers and if the stick wouldn’t have cause me to rip some hair out.
