Good camera with potentials, but needs many improvements
Before writing down my review, I wanted to point out that I have evaluated many dash cameras and basically know what to compare.I have been using this dash camera for a couple of weeks. Through the past couple of weeks, I had some mixed feelings about this product.Let's talk about the pros first.- Build: the camera has a good build, the quality looks good and the material looks durable, and it has a low profile. The packaging is pretty decent, as decent as an iPhone's.- Quality of Video: the videos it took during a sunny day, rainy day, and a night are all very good. It has very wide angle and can catch pretty much anything in front of your car. One of the reasons that I decided to buy this camera is that the seller claims it has night vision quality, which is pretty true. If you are not familiar to dash cameras, please remember that it is unreasonable to expect to see a plate number from a night video taken in motion, unless the car is stopped in right front of you.- GPS: It is not easy to find a dash camera that can take good video and have GPS function. This one does and it works well.- The safety assistant function: what this means is that, while you are driving, you will get voice reminders/alerts from the camera when you intentionally/unintentionally change lanes, get too close to the car in front of you, forget to turn on your headlights while outside is dark, etc. I noticed that this function is sensitive enough and works well.- Stealth: As you install the camera by pointing one end to the windshield, it doesn't look obvious from outside. It's not completely stealthy, but much less noticeable.- Wifi to smartphone: this camera doesn't have a screen, but you can connect to your phone through its built-in wifi to manage the settings and view video.Cons:- The manual is written pretty poorly. You might need to figure out many things by yourself. If you were not that type of person, I'd not recommend this camera to you.- The lack of screen causes some inconvenience. The smart phone wifi connection can't replace the screen function. This is some trade-off of the small size.- Voice reminder: the English of the voice reminders is poor. Most of the time, I simply don't understand what it is saying. I'm hoping the manufacturer will find a native English speaker to record all the commands and make the volume louder in their next firmware update.- The remote button: the remote button is supposed to help you lock a video clip, I assume. But I was unable to get it connected with the camera. The seller said that you have to put the button very close to the device and push it for 3 seconds. No luck. Very disappointed.- Video play software: it comes with a small CD. But, hey, who uses CD ROM these days?

Exceptional Quality Loaded with Features!!
Spectacular! Every aspect of this product and my purchase experience exceed my expectations, it was like a dream come true. I purchased my unit very late on a Thursday night and it arrived at my door from CHINA less than 5 days later on Tuesday afternoon. The quality and craftsmanship of the Junsun WiFi Dash Cam, the accessories and even the packaging were of very high quality well beyond what I thought I was going to get because of the very fair purchase price. I have been watching the Dash Cam market for well over 8 months waiting for someone to make a unit with WiFi for the great, brand new, best in class Ambarella A12 video processing chip. I drive at night often and I needed crystal clear nighttime video quality that the Ambarella A12 provides. Although the good people at Junsun include a 16GB Micro SD with the purchase I immediately locally purchased and popped in a 128GB Micro SD. Installing the software App to my cell phone that controls the unit was easy. There are 4 different recording (video resolution) modes, ADAS control and configuration, format of TF card, change video segmentation from 1, 3 or 5 minutes, change the GPS sensor sensitivity and many more incredible features. Installation in my car was simple just plug an play after mounting unit in desired location (it firmly glues on)... they even provide a little mini pry bar so you can tuck the USB cable invisibly along the windshield frame then leading to the cars power outlet. Words can not adequately describe the beauty of the picture quality clarity and color!! License plates are crystal clear at highway driving speeds and the true color that is captured by the A12 chip... It is actually better than looking at the scenery with your own eyes. The software also contains a feature called MINE that allows you to upload and share your video segments online. I truly wish the owners of the Shenzhen Junsun E-Commerce Co., Ltd. much success. Within hours of my purchase they sent me an e-mail explaining their prompt shipping policy and ensuring me that they would be available to provide support for any issues I may have with their product. It is such a joy and pleasure to deal with good people who provide good service, a great quality product at a fair price... Quality Product with great features !
This is by far one of the best, “least expensive” dash cams I've ever experienced. Delivery was very fast.I am amazed by the functionality of this product. Both the quality and functionality exceeded my expectations. It is super easy to use following the clear, step-by-step instructions in English. I think it is a steal at this price.Accessories include a 16 GB card, a double interface car charger, and a small pry bar. The car charger allows me to connect this DVR not only into the car, but also to my mobile phone. It comes with a 16 GB memory card which supports high speed data delivery.Both the GPS and the accessories are very thoughtfully designed. The shape of Junsun dash cam is very novel and unique even my friends can’t stop praising the eye-catching propeller like design. I did some research on A12 chip, I am very satisfied with its security capabilities, 1296P/30fps, FHD video and clear voice. If you want to connect your mobile phone to the DVR, you can install application WIFI-CarDV. This will allow you to use Wi-Fi to watch the video anytime, anywhere.I especially like the Bluetooth button which you can install at your convenient place to use anytime to take photos and or record the scenery along the way without affecting your driving and safety.GPS tracking function is super, you can get clear view of the road, direction, speed, and the license plate number can be clearly displayed via a windows videos player.Great ADAS function, support circular recording and gravity sensing, with excellent night vision clarity also.The only minor drawback I saw is that the APP does not allow me to register a personal account using my mobile phone number.I think it is a steal at this price. I strongly recommend this product as well as the seller.
