Sooo. Microwave had an issue right before Christmas. Like right before. Ordered the part and should have been there before Christmas. Great microwave mica sheet replacement. These sheets are easy to cut with scissors. My Kenmore Elite Convection/Microwave oven was "arching and sparking" and there was a serious burn hole in the middle of the old mica cover sheet. There was scary flashes and popping noises penetrating the old sheet. I just traced around my old one and installed. Works great! A couple of suggestions, to prevent issues, make sure you wipe down the interior of your microwave oven, paying attention to the sheet. Must be kept oil free. Mine was corroded and I think it caught on fire or overheated. I had this part overnighted to me, because couldn't find anyone who sells them here on O'ahu. Saved me from buying a new microwave oven!!! I included 2 photos, the sheet before I cut it and then how it looks after installed. It was an easy fix.

I ducked up my first try by being impatient and test fitting before it was complete. Thankfully its a two pack so second attempt was complete before putting it in place.

It arrived on time, in perfect shape. It was easy to cut with scissors. Now my microwave works flawlessly, without the growling noise or flashes of light. I have enough material left over to make 3 more wave guide covers, if necessary. KitchenAid no longer sells this, and when they did, it was $40.00. It only took a few minutes and was easy to cut and install, for the price of $2 a piece. The thickness was the same as the original waveguide cover. Thank you!

Replaced this small part in our 5 year old microwave after it was sparking and smelled like it was burning. I thought it was completely shot but my husband looked into it & found that this is a common issue & replacing the mica sheet is easy. It absolutely was!

This worked to give life back to our 38 year old Panasonic microwave. It still hasn't died or required any repair over the almost four decades we've had it.Cutting it was easy, just snip here, snip there, and then put a punch to line up with the mounting hole for the plastic rivet in the original waveguide. Comparing it with the original, the original was much more fine compared to these.Either way it still works. As long as it stays clean inside the microwave, I don't see any issues with another 38 years of use.Minus one star because of the quality of the mica.5-stars for everything else because it's easy to use, cheap, and it arrived in a tiny Amazon Envelope without a huge mess of packaging.

Thought I needed to buy a new microwave but after a little research I found out the reason my microwave sparked while cooking food was because it was either dirty or its mica plates are damaged. I found a small hole in my mica plates so I replaced them and microwave is good as new.

It's generic size, you have to cut into proper size. A bit thinner than original plate, but working great. It would take no more than 15 minutes and your microwave is working like before.

Replace this small part of my microwave as a DIY instead of buying a new one. Selected this option as it allowed my to trace my old one and cut exactly to size. The sheet did separate a bit with the cardboard showing in between layers. A little concerned so will keep a close eye and not leave unattended. Very simple to replace and install.
