A big flaw in the design.
I have been collecting the Department 56 Snow Village for years and so enjoy putting up my village every year. This is the first building I have bought that I'm disappointed in, for one reason only. The window area is wide open and when you look at it, the first thing you see is the light bulb sticking up in the middle of the interior. It is distracting and totally takes away from the look of the Sweet Spot. I personally think the manufacturer should do something about this very obvious flaw.

The sweet spot
Very cute house but the inside is just open, so when you turn on the light all you see is the lightbulb. It feels like a very lazy design.

A Christmas gift for daughter-in -law that has a Dept. 56 collection. Painted well, just as described, no damage , packaged well and arrived quickly. No complaints.

Great Shoppe
This is a really nice sweet shop. What I like about it is that it's not big. I have limited space for my village so I have to watch the size of things and this will fit nicely. It has a little scale in the counter area that was protected nicely for shipping because it swings back and forth. It's a great find at a really great price, a nice addition for my village!

Way too delicate
When the Sweet Spot lit house arrived, there was a candy cane in the front window that came off immediately. That was because the packer had put plastic wrapping in the front windows for some reason. Since there are delicate items hanging in the front windows, it is no surprise that one fell off when the wrap was removed. Later, some the wreath material lining the roof just popped loose. Then a bow lining the roof fell off. These last two things happened without the house being moved or touched. I used Crazy Glue to fix the three things. Not fun and not perfect fixes!! Also, the light bulb shows clearly through the front windows. There are no figures or anything to hide the bulb. This house is definitely not the same quality as my other Snow Village items.
