Very well engineered with super easy installation.
The precision in the engineering of every component of SwingCase is amazing. From the self centering washers, to the weight balance on the hinge, everything lines up perfectly with zero adjustments needed for smooth locking and swinging operation. No shimming or slotted holes to try need to align the locking mech to the latch bar. I bought the driver’s side for a 2019 F350. The truck has an in bed electrical hook-up for a 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer lights and breaks. With the driver’s side case installed, the socket is covered and unusable. To plug the trailer using this outlet, the case must be removed. Not the end of the world, but wish the outlet was located higher up on the side of the bed so the case could remain mounted when towing the 5th wheel. The passenger side case will be unaffected when towing a 5th wheel trailer. The outlet does protrude out from the bed wall on the F350, but it does not affect the mounting or closing of the SwingCase when the outlet is not in use. Because the case is so easy to take off without any tools, my rating remains 5 stars as this is not an issue with the case.

An improving love affair
Update: 6/14/2021 Upgrading overall rating by two stars. Several things noted in my initial review that I'd like to follow up on. 1. weight capacity. Though loading this thing down does cause some sag, it will still latch with little difficult. I don't know how long the hinges will hold with too much weight, but it is going strong so far. 2. Compatibility with my tonneau cover. I've just gotten used to opening the tool box to undo or redo the tonneau cover and it is hardly as inconvenient as I thought it was going to be. Basically, I was complaining for something that isn't really a big deal. With these two things that were big problems for me in my initial review, I wanted to come back and update with my improved outlook.I love to review products I love, they are easy to write. Reviewing products I wanted to love but don’t is harder. I’ll break this down into sections that apply so far. This is day 1, so I can’t speak to the water proofing, protection from the case lock or the key matched matched pivot lock that was included. The version of the product I ordered and received was the passenger side model compatible with 2020 Ford F-350 (long bed).UNBOXING: The Swing Case looks nice. It is made of sturdy plastic with what appears to be high quality hardware. Everything comes packed inside the case and is easy to identify from the instructions. It also came with a key matched pivot lock that several reviews led me to believe was not part of the offering.INSTALLING: Every bit as easy as the marketing would have you believe. My 6 year old son was my assistant and his help caused the job to take about 25 minutes. Alone, I could see it being done in 10 minutes. A drill is handy but we did it with a screwdriver and the right bits.SWING: this is where the love affair came to an abrupt halt. First, the latching mechanism had to be adjusted down to its lowest possible placement to allow the system to swing in and latch with any ease. That was fine and covered in the instructions. However, once loaded with about 35 lbs of gear, the box will not latch to the side mounted latch piece without lifting up on the box. It does latch and holds firm, but eliminates much of the anticipated convenience. It is much easier to get it to latch from inside the bed of the truck, but getting in the bed is something this case should have allowed me to avoid. Unlatching requires significant force because of the poor fit into the latch in the first place. It does work and you don’t need to be Superman, but it was a MUCH lighter pull before and gear was added. If the latch were not already at its absolute lowest position, I expect that adjusting it down would solve this issue entirely.CAPACITY: it holds plenty of stuff volume wise, but as is often the case, my imagination had far more going into it than reality will allow. I’m a little let down because of this, but the fault there is all mine and does not factor into the star rating I gave.COMPATIBILITY: I have a factory installed folding tonneau cover from Ford. It has a spring loaded clamp with handle on either side to hold the cover closed. The case makes it physically impossible to latch the passenger side with the case in it latched position. With the case swung out, it is no problem to affix the tonneau clamp and the case will latch to the side afterward. However, it isn’t possible to be in the bed with the tonneau cover closed and the extended reach and lift required to get the case latched without being in the bed isn’t very comfortable, but it is doable.OVERALL: I’m disappointed that weight far under the rated capacity of 75 lbs results in a “sag” that does not allow for normal operation of the unit. If it were possible to lower the latch another quarter inch, it would probably work just fine, assuming the hardware is sturdy enough to avoid additional sag over time.I’m also disappointed that I can’t close or open my tonneau cover with the unit in its closed position, but this would not be a huge issue if the case were easy to swing closed. All in all I feel like a tremendous opportunity to have an incredibly convenient addition to my truck has turned into something that will instead aggravate me until I eventually take it out and leave it out to avoid the headache. At $200, I’m not sure that I’m willing to do that do I may return to Amazon.

Nice organizer for truck
Installed it on my 2007 f250. Looks great, the installation was a bit challenging since I had to cut bed-liner. It took me a little over 1 hour on each side. I am happy but wished they were a bit wider. Overall great quality works smoothly in and out of position. It'll give you plenty room to use the bed for other stuff. Happy with the purchase.

I really like these boxes.
To be perfectly honest, these were a vanity buy that turned out to be quite useful, nonetheless. The installations were straightforward and now I keep straps in one and small tools and chemicals in the other. I am not sure how much weight that amounts to, but I'd imagine at least 20-30 pounds for each side and they seem to handle it just fine. The cases swing out just as described, if needed and they can be locked shut and even completely locked in place if necessary. I use mine under a tonneau cover so security and weather resistance aren't my primary concerns, but I'm sure they'll protect your belongings.

Great product
Very easy and quick to install. Lots of space as long as your not trying to put anything to large in it.

Great idea! Much better than a bed box up near the cab!
I had an incident recently and needed the flashlight, a strap, and wrench. This was all up in the bed box up near the cab. I had a load so it was hard to get to quickly. Saw this and it make so much more sense to have this right at the back, easy to get to!! Easy install once you remove the tail light (F250), be sure to anti seize the threads as they are exposed behind the light once put back together. Great idea, uses less space than the other box- yes, less room, but I got rid of things I never used, so now this holds all I need.
