The Gingerbread Man (My First Fairy Tales)

My son likes reading time and this book is a great addition to his library.

My 23 month old nieces and their 5 year old brother love this book. Beautifully written with great illustrations. The construction of the book is holding up well to nearly 2-year old twins turning the pages numerous times each day.

Love it! Really cool big pictures with not too much words. My 2.5 yr old son loves it.

Bought for my adult daughter. Was her favorite book in years past.

I have 3 toddlers (ages 2, 4 & 5) and they cannot get enough of this book! The illustrations are adorable and captivating. But what I love most is the text. I was skeptical of an adaptation of a beloved fairy tale from my childhood, but the author creatively uses excellent words to build a child’s vocabulary! Almost every verb and adjective in the story are different. The treats are described as gooey and crumbly, etc. and the gingerbread man does everything from skipping and squealing to smirking and dancing! It is pure delight to read aloud. As many times as kids want their favorite books reread, I wish all children’s books were this much fun!

The story has too many words for a toddler.
