Très déçue de l'article. On vente l'aspect acier laissant croire que c'est solide et résistant mais ça ne tient absolument pas les livres. La belle partie en arbre est aussi fragile que du carton et plie sous le poids des livres qu'il y en ait peu ou beaucoup. J'ai dû ajouter des serre-livres en plastique transparent pour les aider et donc pas du tout pratique. Finalement, je les ai remplacé par des plus lourds et solide et je les utilise pour soutenir quelques livres légers et ils sont surtout décoratifs plutôt qu'utile. Dommage car ce sont de beaux serre-livres.

The design of these bookends is lovely and they feel great with the powder coating. They are as described. The only thing about functionality is they don't have the sturdiness that a bookend with a flat piece sticking out away from the book side has (you know the cheap metal ones from staples?). That piece provides a counter balance so a heavy book couldn't tip it over. Not so with these. It just depends on how you intend to use them. If you are regularly shuffling large books near the bookends, they may not be the most functional.

These are advertised as strong enough to hold heavy books upright. They bend very easily, don't hold books upright. I returned them.

I'm very happy with the quality and design of the book ends. Great for anyone who likes a slightly less ornate version of the tree of life in particular or for anyone who likes nature in general.

These are really pretty and tastefully designed. They are not super heavy duty metal in and of themselves but they have a good “lip” for books to sit on so they should do the job of holding a reasonable number of books together and upright . I appreciate what the Max Foundry people are doing with nice nature based designs.
