After reading the instructions, I was able to figure out how to set up the two collars on the transmitter. Having the three settings.. beep, vibrate, and shock.. has been the key in my dog’s training. We have also used it on walks with the perimeter setting. Even though two of the batteries failed after less than a year, the company replaced them at no charge, which is why I would recommend this product.

Edit: I really wanted to love this item because it's so much more compact and easy to manage than the PetSmart wireless alternative for my application. I set it up and tried it in several locations - the two-collar model - and each time was frustrated by the inconsistency of the transmitter's coverage. Not only that, but one collar was prone to alerts and even corrective shocks, triggered while *lying on the ground* WELL within the set range of the transmitter as I worked nearby on something else.I walked in search of what should have been roughly a circular perimeter around the transmitter many times, never finding a dependable pattern. There was no way I was going to put those collars on my dogs, because no animal could be expected to learn where it is/isn't OK to move, even under penalty of shock. I mean, how would you like to take a math test while being shocked occasionally for correct answers, and sometimes for wrong ones? Consistency is vital in getting dogs to learn.I got a used PetSmart wireless fence and did the same testing. It's consistent within an oval pattern on my steep hillside within a matter of a few feet. Results are reproduced time and again. More expensive, yes, but it's not a sadistic torture-machine like this one seems to be - and that's the point of this whole exercise.If it came with a simple field-strength meter, so a user could watch the RF wattage change as they walk a test area, maybe they'd have more confidence, be able to identify dead-spots and understand any quirks in the coverage, but really that's stuff that should happen during R&D, not by Joe Consumer.Manufacturer clearly needs to either do better QC - or scrap this design entirely. I'm returning it, of course.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Charging cable for a two-collar setup is hidden well away, back side of the tray that everything else is packed within, so I had to contact seller to ask for what I'd thought was an omitted cable. That's when they asked me to give them a review for promo purposes, so here I am. It's too soon for me to know how well the system works, but I have high hopes. Physically it seems well-engineered. For my purposes I wish there were a leakproof charging connection of some kind, because I think that will eventually be what kills either the transmitter or the receivers (collars) - you have to be sure the captive rubber plug gets replaced and doesn't come out from some random snag while on the animal.Time will tell, and I'll post back with my actual experience after I've got some.

This collar wireless training collar system is not the first I've purchased. It's works very well, but that's not the best part. It's design makes it durable. I have 2 20 month old pit bull/bull mastiff/great Danes. They are very rough and energetic. The two of them play hard and destroyed (not by chewing, just rough housing) 2 other systems within a matter of weeks. So far the BHCEY Wireless Dog. Fence has held up well. Thank you for such an excellent system at an affordable price.

I returned this unit because it did not work reliably. I tested the distances for it to warn or shock the dog and found it often did not warn at all or distance changed each time I tested. Could not trust it with my dog's life.The vendor apologized and issued refund immediately.

Don't know if "malfunction" is the right word, Any time the collar is turned on but the remote is not, the collar seems to think the dog is out of range. The collar shocks the dog until I can get it off, this includes situations as common as the battery in the remote dying. How can I leave my dog unattended knowing that? Major design flaw.But they refunded me and said they would solve the problem.

I bought it to replace my underground fence system but found it more useful as a training tool. The choice of corrections makes it customized for each dog.

have no complaints at all, which is why I give it 5 out of 5 stars. If I can give it six stars, I would because of how much this system has helped me. My St. Bernard is so used to chasing bikers and walkers, and I'd have to get a hold of him just so it won't lose its way back to our home. That's mainly the reason why I bought this dog fence. Now, the beeping will give my dog reasons not to go over the boundaries and he has been a good boy since. It's been a while since we've used the system, and my dog has found another way to please himself and that's by playing with my kids instead of chasing our neighbors.

I'm impressed to a point with the product not happy that you only get one charger for 2 dogs also the remote dies really fast it doesn't last as long as it says in description. The really bad thing is I got the one for 2 dogs and when the charger dies and both colors you can only charge 2 things at a time cause they don't give you enough chargers to charge all 3 at the same time had some problems with the one collar I called Amazon and they left me know that I have a message from this company I didn't know I got message or could send messages out to where I ordered my items from this company did respond to my review they wrote and offered me a replacement I just sent them a message back letting them know I would love to have a replacement did not hear back from them called Amazon back and now I am getting back less then what I paid for it cause it's been longer than 30 days the thing is I've been in contact with them since before the 30 days and I was getting the run around so I would suggest in my opinion not to waste your money I'm now sending it back and losing $40 so disappointed
