SEGA Dirt 5 (Xbox One)

The Good….A nice range of interesting tracks to race on with their own look and feel.Mostly circuit racing as opposed to point to point rally’s is a nice change.Car handing with a wheel (Thrustmaster TMX in my case….setting's in photo.) feels ok, not great but for the most part does the job of relaying the information needed to correct slides and keep the car in check.It is fun when the track+car combo are right for each other.Nice In-depth gymkhana track editor, if that’s your thing.It was £12 in sale ..no regrets.The Bad…Not close enough to Dirt 2 for arcade fun.It’s touted as arcade so why the fiddly sponsors which add nothing to the game( for me that is)Ridiculous ramming from AI cars especially the super lites.The game runs too fast for its own good in some races, seems like it’s running at 2x speed so handling becomes more like a test of twitch reflexes rather than good driving.Graphics are a bit messy when things get a bit hectic, slow down is common.Night racing….The dark is too dark in areas, guessing where the road is is not fun!No windscreen wipers using in car view? (Using TMX) so can’t see!Paywall for many of the top cars.No race replays…..yes NO REPLAYS. ?????Conclusion.For me half the game is Ok the other half …well……meh.It’s a nice addition to the franchise but not the AAA I was hoping for.

Love the Dirt racing games, except for Dirt 4 which was boring like Dirt really. The game itself is really enjoyable, the graphics arent the best, a little rushed if you ask me. I go off the game play though and that is addictive. Think they should still have Trailblazer and the rally races aswell still because they made Dirt the game it is. Dirt 2 and 3 were the best.

been on this a few time now when you play 5, 6 race.s it get a bit off a im fed up now not as good as the rest of the games. its a bit of all the same. you do lap 1 and thts ok lap 2 you think i have to do that all a 2nd time lap 3 fed up. , up date , been on it same moor and its all the same all the time. fed up with it now and stop playing it if the next one is like this i wont be buying it .they need to get the game back the way dirt should be

Awful game. Looks and feels like it was put together in about 3 weeks. The graphics are absolutely awful. It’s 2021 and we got grainy cars and graphics?! Come on. The dirt coming up off the wheels is laughable too. I know it’s an arcade racer but their is zero feel to the driving. It just all feels a bit like a none event. Bland. Series peaked with 2 and 3, and I really enjoyed both of them. So glad I didn’t pick this up at launch.

Game is great but crashes all the time so I've stopped playing it tbh! I've never been able to get online, it times out after 20 odd minutes and I've tried a few times.. I've raced twice but that's it... plus you can't choose any options...I've had all the dirt games but this one is by far the most disappointing for silly reasons! The crashing and reloading means you can have a game session for an hour and do one race!
