Album (World Languages) 4th Edition

I purchased this as a required textbook for my Spanish Literature class last summer. It is clearly designed to be used by a class or an independent study student because each of the chapters includes:*A brief biography of the author*A brief synopsis of the cultural context of the story*The story itself*Ample footnotes to explain and/or define phrases, single words, or allusions*Questions to determine whether you understood the story*Questions to practice a grammatical exercise, usually changing verb tenses*Questions for analyzing the work*Two essay questions*Group discussion questionsI think it would be best for a 200 or 300 level college course. I suppose that a great teacher in a small AP high school Spanish class could make this work, but for the most part it's really a college level book.

This was suppose to be sold with a video and that was not received. Book came next day as promised that was perfect.

For the person that complained that it did not come with a CD with the audio files. All but one of the files are available for download. I searched for "Album textbook audio files" and that took me to the publisher's Web site (Cengage) where I downloaded the files. Chapter 28 is not available for some reason. You need to be careful with the file names of the downloads because some are duplicates. I gave them appropriate names. There are other things available on the download page such as links and author information.

The only issue was the ridiculous amount of time it took for the book to arrive. Other than shipping time, it is helpful and I highly recommend it.

I use this in my native speaker classes and the stories are great, but be aware it does not come with the audio as it says in the description! I shipped it back because I didn't pay $140+ for it to arrive not as described.

It did come brand new only thing was one page was completely torn and I had to tape it but above all great condition
