Get the correct sharpner for it
Came sharp and works well but I ruined the blade using my Dremel sharpening kit. That kit worked perfectly for my hedge trimmers but FUBAR the machete. So make sure you get the right sharpener for it.

If you want to clear brush buy this !!!
It came with a nice holder. Was not very sharp, I sharpened and boy let me tell you, the handle is made just perfect to swing machete to front then back, very nice. It does not cut small trees with one wack, but 3-4 wacks will take care of the tree. Well made, could not asked for better

The ultimate tool for the end times
I used this Machete to clean an entire hillside of overgrown weeds and misery. I even used it to kill a Copperhead when it slithered out from underneath a rock and tried to bite me. Fortunately, I had this amazingly sharp and sweet looking Machete in hand and I pulled a Samurai move and cut the bugger in half. It was amazing. Also, as a side benefit of owning one of these things your voice will deepen and you will instantly grow a lumberjack beard. I was impressed because I could make eyes with the chubby blue-haired barista at the Starbucks a lot easier. 10/10 would purchase again.

Dull out of the packaging .
Seems like a nice machete, nice weight too it, handle is good. The problem with it is duller than a butter knife, right out of the packaging.

Can be sharpened. Good value for the money. Ergonomic handle feels good. Feels end heavy.
Would like it to be longer. Needs sharpening. Very ergonomic. Sheath is cheap. Overall decent value.

I have only used it a few times now but ...
I have only used it a few times now but it has done very well. It doesn't have a lot of weight so you do have to put a little more effort into your swing that a traditional blade. But it is also sharper than traditional machetes and seems to be holding its edge.I have hit small branches with it and no problems. Anyone using it to chop wood with (which is obvious from some of the picture reviews I have seen), doesn't understand what a machete is and used for.
