The Experiment LLC My Big Wimmelbook: Good Night

Me encantan estos libros y hasta ahora no he tenido problema con ninguno de les 4 que he comprado. Pero que llegue en este estado no se puede admitir. He iniciado la devolución. Veré si vuelvo a comprarlo.

We love our Wimmelbooks, and this one shares the great qualities of detailed drawings and lots of points of interest. However, the cover got glued on upsidedown and backwards, so when you open the book, the first thing you see is...the last page, upsidedown.

Our family loves Wimmelbooks. We preordered this one and were disappointed by some of the choices made.CONDITION - PoorArrived damaged on the bottom and sort of warped due to shipping in paper envelope. Having preordered this two months in advance and treating these as collector's items, this was disappointing.ART STYLE - GoodThe style of the art has a calm, night-time story vibe with enough interesting details to keep kids engaged.CONTENT - Ok to PoorThis is my biggest issue with this book. For some reason they decided to include *multiple* "romantic" or intimate moments/suggestions in a book intended for very young children. It just feels very unnecessary to include these ideas/images in a book for this young of an audience.The "theme" is inconsistent. I think kids might like some pages and not others. The other books in this series have a consistent theme so if you kid likes it, they'll like the whole thing. I don't love the story bubbles on each page, as it's intuitive and implied that stories will be told by the viewer with these kinds of books.

We normally love Wimmelbooks, but this one had some inappropriate imagery so we returned it. I was excited to have one to read specifically before bedtime, but was disappointed. Photos are added. There’s a girl and boy kissing in a treehouse, a lady drinking wine in a bathtub, people showering without privacy, and some indentured servitude.Our 2 year old loves these books but we didn’t want him thinking it’s normal for a group of people to watch you bathe, or for someone to be kissing you in secret. Also, I don’t particularly like how each page has questions along the top.
