Our lab loves it!
I was pretty sure it wouldn't hold up to a year old Lab but I was wrong. It's a great Frisbee that flys well and is durable!

Has Ruff Dawg changed???
Ruff Dawg frisbees have been a part of my dog training and play time for decades, they have historically been very durable. These last two that were purchased are in no way as durable as the previous discs, my dog chewed apart a quarter of the disc within 3 days and when I picked it up I could feel is was flimsy. I am extremely disappointed and I'm hoping it is just a bad batch. Why do things have to change when they are so good to begin with??? Why Ruff Dawg??? Why?

Great to Throw, Soft to Catch!
This is a great frisbee for dog training because unlike other frisbee's it's soft enough for smaller dogs to catch in their mouth but still has the weight and rigidity to be able to throw far and carry some distance. The rubber material is also enjoyable for my dog to chew and play tug with and it will fold up to put in your pocket on walks which is convenient.Since the frisbee is flexible and bends, you need to get a good amount of spin on it when throwing to get it to fly straight and get some distance but if you're throwing short distances you'll be fine. Also, if the dog has been chewing on it a lot you'll just need to bend it a few times quick to get the shape back.If you don't have a ton of space to throw it in I'd recommend getting the smaller version because it's better for short distances. The frisbee does gets dirty real quick and the dust/dirt tends to stick to the rubber esp when it's got dog slobber on it. Overall great frisbee and fun to throw even if you have no experience.

Pup loves it!
Durability? Time will tell. Sturdiness? Well, it's designed to be soft and floppy so that's a tough one. Now, about that soft and floppy... if you're trying to get your dog to catch them on the fly but you're worried about them getting hit, well, this is what you want to avoid that... IMHO. :) Is a bit tricky to throw since it's easy to temporarily deform the shape if you snap your throw the wrong way. But once you get it, it's not too bad. Haven't mastered it yet... but close. :)

You better have a fast dog!
Probably the thing that got me to buy this rubber frisbee was that my Chessie would chomp down on the $.99 regular frisbees and wreck them after three throws. So at three throws for a buck, the Ruff-Dawg seemed like a bargain. And on that point, it really does work - Lindey (my Chessie) can't destroy it no matter how long she carries it around. On the other side of the frisbee, however, the Ruff-Dawg doesn't float in the air very long as it is heavier than normal and drops like a rock unless you really throw it hard. So, poor old Lindey (at two years old), can't catch up to it before it hits the ground! It kinda defeats the purpose of a frisbee, you know, dogs jumping in the air making spectacular catches. So, as I keep buying dog frisbees, I now have three (not counting the generics), here is the results of my study (in order of my preference):Best all-around dog frisbee award goes to: "Soft Bite, Floppy Disc" by Aspen Pet Products. It floats nicely in the air, so Lindey can catch up to it and has a nylon cloth center. Lindey can't chew through it unless you play tug of war.Best frisbee that looks like a frisbee: "Aerobie Dogobie Disc" the smallest of the three; floats almost as good as the one above but Lindey can put dents in the disc. After about 50 throws she has deformed is a bit but has not punched any holes in it.Most durable but sinks like a rock: the "Ruff-Dawg" see above.Cheapest: the generic dollar frisbees but buy them by the dozen unless your dog has really soft mouth!I didn't test any Wham-o Frisbees because I like them too much to let some damn dog crew them up!They all float in the water so water retrieves are no problem for any of them. Now, if I can just get Lindey to bring it back every time!

Better than Kong
Flies great, better than the red Kong disc for flight. They are both the same as far as durability as my GSD loves them

Fun to throw, easy on my dog's teeth
I love this for my dog, I've tried every flying dog disc I could find at various retail outlets, and this is by far my favorite. It's flexible & flies FAR once you get the feel for throwing it (it has a different feel than traditional harder discs). I have an 8 month old Australian Shepherd, & chasing and retrieving flying toys is his favorite playtime activity. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that I wish it was a little more durable, & it would be great if floated. I keep it out of reach & only let my dog have it during active playtime, (so he learns its a play toy, not a chew toy), but it starts getting tears & breaking down after a few weeks of daily fetching & retrieving. So I buy 3 or more at a time. Even so, it's still the best flying disc I've found for my dog. It's his favorite too, he has a box with various flying dog toys, & he always chooses his Ruff Dawg when it's time to play.

This is truly the best frisbee my dogs have ever had!
I bought this frisbee as a Christmas present for my dogs and it is now August 1rst. They have played so hard, pulling and tugging on it relentlessly. One of my really active girls loves the rubbery floppiness of this toy so much she shakes it as hard as she can and lets it slap herself in the face the whole time she is shaking it!My husband and I are both so amazed at the quality of this toy. Most toys do not last a month in this house, I am ordering more toys from this company today and am very proud to support another made in the USA company!

Strong chemical odour.
Update Feb 5: Odour has dissipated after being in the sub-freezing temperature for a few days. Dog now plays with it. Tough material, great for tug o'war. Moving rating from 2 star to 4.Dog won't even touch it because the disc has such a strong chemical smell to it. Washing it with dish soap didn't help get rid of the smell. It's being aired out in the snow covered yard now, to see if the odour dissipates, since airing it out in the laundry room for 3 days didn't work. Then again, if the chemical smell is so great, is the material composition healthy for animals? Also, the disc that arrived is neither of the 3 solid colours shown in the picture, which are yellow, orange and green. Mine was a blue disc splashed with green streaks throughout. Looks pretty cool. Otherwise, disc looked like it might have been a good, strong and long lasting toy.

Very flimsy which is great for dog teeth!
My dog likes the frisbee, one complaint is that it doesn’t fly as well as most other frisbees but that’s because it’s much thinner. Also because of the thinner material, a hole happened quite fast from a bite mark.

Great product, not indestructible
Great for its purpose! Flies very well, pretty sturdy for a good head shake and light tug if war. But with any chewer (like my dog is) don't just leave them alone with it, that's just common sense Or they'll tear it apart. Repurchasing after she was accidently left alone with it and tore it to peices. We play with it and it goes away until we play with again. It's not a toy she has access to whenever she wants

Great frisbee !
My dog LOVES this frisby and so far has not been able to damage it which is not usual haha. Unfortunately the frisbee came in plain purple ? Not in the cool pattern as shown in the photos. Not a huge deal but worth mentioning

Awesome
This is by far the best toy I have purchased for my dog. She chews anything everything including rocks and nuts and bolts. She has been playing with this daily for two months now and there is no damage whatsoever. It's a bit heavy for playing frisbee in that it doesnt fly as far as a plastic one or maybe it's just me, but definitely a must buy for an active and chewy dog.
