Yes. It is actually threaded for 67mm. You can screw a 67mm filter in there.

Q: Does this fit the Canon "nifty fifty" 50mm 1.8 original lens?

If the Canon lens uses a 52mm filter then this lens hood should work fine.

Q: Would this hood cause any distortion mounted on a wide angle lens

Q: does it work with canon efs 24 mm lens and would it fit with the UV or ND filters on?

What size lens accessories are specified for the lens. I don't have a 24mm lens so I don't know what size filters would fit 24mm lenses. I do know that wide angle lenses require special hoods so there is no vignetting. I'm guessing this lens hood would cause vignetting so I wouldn't recommend it.
