EXCELLENT COOLER! My husband uses this for work as a sort of "mini-fridge" - he absolutely loves it. It is portable, not too bulky, and does a superb job in cooling his beverages, lunch and snacks. It has a built in "air circulator" for even cooling and to keep the cooler from getting "stale" smelling. We haven't tried the warming feature yet, but based on the performance of this cooler so far, I'm sure it will be just as effective. We bought the Koolatron Multi-Purpose adapter so he can plug this in at work; when he's not at work he can plug it into his cigarette lighter plug. I bought this for my husband who travels a lot and works outside. Arizona heat is awful. This is roomy, tall, and lightweight. There's plenty of room in the front pocket, the cord is long enough that it can be placed in the backseat. Today I packed 4 sandwiches, 2 Gatorade, 4 bottles of water, 4 sodas, and some fruit. The ONLY downside is that it does stop cooling when the car is off. My remedy for this is I place a few ice pack in the bottom of the cooler and freeze all the drinks. It keeps everything nice and COLD.

We've had this cooler for more than four years now and it's been so handy. My daughter has Celiac and I have multiple food allergies, so being able to take a cooler with us on long trips has been a lifesaver. We plug in the unit the night before we leave so it gets cold, put our food in just before we leave and plug it into the car. The food stays cold until we get to our destination. And if the hotel doesn't have a mini-fridge, we plug it in at the hotel, too.

I will preface this review with this caveat: Auto coolers are not refrigerators. They will keep cold things cold, with help.My husband drives a truck for 12-16 hours per day. He never stops, so I pack his lunch every day. He carries water, energy drinks, veggies, sandwiches, sometimes pizza, etc. He used a Rubbermaid cooler for a long time, but it was too small. He needed a larger cooler that would fit between the seats of the truck and have more space.This cooler is HUGE. They make two smaller ones, but since I like to load it up with big ice packs, it's a good size. It'll never actually be full unless we take a trip with it, though. 2 liter bottles stand up in it and I'm guessing that six of them would fit. I load it up with 2 1.5 liter water bottles, a couple of 16 oz lowcarb Monster drinks, plus a sandwich, cherry tomatoes fruit and other snacks and the cooler is still about half full even with the two large blue ice bags.The Koolatron does the job nicely. It will not cool warm things down well and if left on its own, cold things will start to warm up after 8-10 hours, so I put 2 large blue ice bags in the cooler every morning and they come back at night still partially frozen. Any leftover drinks are still cold.I also purchased the power inverter so that I could plug in the cooler first thing when I get up. I then load the cooler and the ice bags right before he leaves. That helps considerably.Is the cooler keeping things at 40*? Doubtful, but it's keeping them cold enough that drinks are refreshing and his food does't spoil. He keeps the AC on in the truck all the time, so the cooler doesn't have to work too hard.A soft sided cooler like this isn't as effective as a hardsided cooler, so there's a bit of a tradeoff, but it's the largest one I could find that would fit where it needed to go (between the seats of a Peterbilt Daycab after removing the drink holders) and it's lightweight. The shoulder strap makes it easy to carry. By the time I load it down with a couple liters of water, drinks, ice and use the bungee on top for his paperwork, it weighs about 30 pounds or so. A hard cooler would be impossible.The outside pockets are handy, you can even put ice in the drink holder (which will only hold a cup the diameter of a soda can). There's a mesh pocket in the back that's also very handy.Overall, we're very pleased with this cooler, but unlike the another reviewer, our expectations were more realistic.

I bought this to use while chaperoning church camp last summer. I have a very particular diet and camp food is not the best, so I packed food for the 6-hour bus ride and to eat during the 4 days at camp. I plugged it in when I got to my cabin and the food stayed cold and fresh all week. Hard-cooked eggs, cheese, olives, almond milk, fresh fruits & veggies all stayed very cold. I was able to pack enough for lunch and dinner for 4 days for myself, including some water bottles also. The fan/motor is so quiet that even in the middle of the night in a cabin I could barely hear it running while plugged in right next to my bed. I've had it run for 3 days straight and it never overheated and still runs great. It's been a year and I've used it on road trips in the car. Works great for keeping lunch meat and mayo cold for making sandwiches at rest stops. It's also great to have cold bottles of water for the whole trip, no matter how long. It transfers great to a hotel room, just use the AC adaptor to plug it into the wall (I think it's sold separately but definitely worth it). If it ever stops working I'll definitely buy this cooler again. It's gotten a lot of use over the last year.

With a cooler and ice pack, I shop for about 2 hours, go home befor everything thaws out. With this and, my Eco Flow max 600, I can extend my shopping up to 8 hours if I like. When I go out to shop, I like to take my time, shop several stores, then go out to eat. Take all day. this electric cooler bag will keep everything chilled or cold for hours. Set it and foget it.

This is my second car cooler. I love this one way better than my other one. It is solid and holds quite a bit of food. I am glad I went ahead and replaced my old one with this. I carry my own organic creamer, cheese, crackers and sandwiches on the road with me when I wander about the 603 looking for birds to photograph. I can avoid eating at restaurants completely - even making my own iced coffee on the road with Ice water from DD, my organic instant coffee, creamer and stevia. Yummy! If I have errands to run after grocery shopping, I put all my cold food in here and use it as a grocery bag, bringing it in the store with me. This is by far the best purchase I have made for my health.

This is a really good product. The only downside which made it unusable for us that it was too noisy. We use a cool bag in hotel rooms. This was a replacement for our mobicool bag which eventually died after years of service. It looked as if was better than the Mobicool cool bag which it is except for the noise of the fan when it is in operation.I bought a converter to use with three pin plugs as we use it in hotel rooms.I did buy the Mobicool cool bag as it it quieter

Good bag food remains cool during a long journey. Would have given a higher score if it had been easy to buy the lead to connect to electric supply at home. Had to waste space on ice blocks as I was not able to chill the bag prior to the journey. Lead should have been available at the time of purchase. Shame that this problem let down the product.

I bought this cool box mainly for shoppingthen I wouldn’t have a problem with fishand meat etc bought out of town. I wouldn’t have to hurry home to the fridge.BUT, the instructions with the item clearly state that it shouldn’t be used in a car boot( trunk). I that case it is useless!Or could I actually use it in my boot?

Works perfectly and is huge inside so you can fit food in for a few days. Only problem is a noisy fan on mine so I've knocked off a star.

This is one of the best buys that I have made in years. I drove across America and it was faultless, especially chilled drinks in the Nevada desert and Death Valley.
