I re-pierced my 80 year old mom’s ears because she was gifted some earrings she really liked but her ears had grown up over the years. The posts that came in the piercing kit were sharp and long and stabbed her in the neck while she tried to sleep at night. So I went searching for earrings that would be sterile and comfortable and safe after a fresh piercing and found these little gems. My mom loves them and they are super comfortable for her, and they look nice too! It’s a bit difficult to get the tiny backs on, but the earrings are priceless! I highly recommend.

I rarely write reviews, but after YEARS of earring disappointments, finally finding a solution warrants public praise. I had given up on earrings. The last time I was able to wear any without reaction was 13 years ago. They were hypoallergenic, but pretty ugly. A dull silver, they began looking like cheap dirty metal early on. Learning I was sensitive to nickel, I thought finding nickel-free hypoallergenic studs like "Tiny Lux" or "Simply Whispers" might work for me. Sadly, my ears reacted within a day with "Tiny Lux". I had better luck -- initially -- with "Simply Whispers". They worked for a month, a few years ago, and I was so excited! But soon the painful swelling returned, and a tiny hard lump in each ear lobe (even though I removed the jewelry every night and gave my ears "rest days"). I was so disappointed, as I had bought several pairs. They had to go in the trash, and I resigned myself to life without earrings. Then a few months ago, one sleepless night I began researching on my phone. I decided to try two brands -- one that promised to be made of titanium, with a flat back -- the other brand is this one. The titanium one worked well -- but I didn't wear it for more than a couple days, as the post was a bit too long -- it caused the stud to stick out of my ear, and the claw would snag. I received my ComfyEarrings clear crystal studs a couple days after and though they weren't titanium, (they were surgical steel -- same as other brands that hadn't worked for me), I decided to give them a shot. Three months later and I have never taken them out! This is exactly what I needed! I learned a few lessons that I hope will help you:1 - EVERYBODY'S ears are different, and even your ears may change in sensitivity to different metals, over the years. Just because something works for others with sensitive ears, doesn't mean it will work for you. Just because something works for you now (or doesn't work for you now), doesn't mean it will be the same a few years from now.2 - Type of metal is only PART of the reason why you might have a reaction to certain earrings. Here are three other factors to consider:a. The thickness of the post can make a difference (start with the standard size or THINNER if your holes are quite narrow and haven't been used for years).b. The backing makes a huge difference. The popular butterfly backing might NOT be the one or you. It certainly doesn't work for me. That's another reason I love the ComfyEarrings FLAT-BACKED screw-on backings. I can sleep in these comfortably. The only backing that's more comfortable than these is the sleeper hoop -- in other words, no backing at all -- just the wire that goes through your ear. However, I prefer the appearance of a crystal stud, so ComfyEarrings are my choice here.c. Do you plan to take your earrings out every night, or are you looking to keep the same studs in for years without removal? I never realized what a significant question this is until researching what triggers that tiny hard lump around the lobe piercing -- which is always followed by pain and inflammation. Listen to this: taking earrings out and putting them in causes trauma on your piercing! This won't affect people whose piercing site is less sensitive, but if you're already prone to reactions, this is huge. And this was another breakthrough for me. Once I got my new earrings in, I left them in -- and waited. After a month of no inflammation or pain, I new I'd found my forever-earrings. I sleep with them, live life, and basically ignore them. There's enough space between the backing and my skin that I can gently pat dry and air out after a shower. Another good reason to leave these ComfyEarrings in is that the tiny threaded screw-on backings are a real nusance to take off and on. So why bother? Just leave them on. Having flat backings are so worth the little hassle of getting them the first time.I hope this helps you. Easy to wear and screw in back! Classic look and never have to take them off because they are so comfortable!

**Full disclosure: I've only had these about a week** A couple years ago my job role changed and now I am on the phone (aka headset) most of the time. I also work at home, so between those 2 things, I rarely wear earrings and my holes were starting to close up. I had 1 UGLY pair of earrings that I could sleep in and wear with my headset, but I would take them off when I left the house and forget to put them back in. These "comfy earrings" are perfect in that I can sleep in them and I can wear them with my headset. I honestly have to keep checking to see if they are still in because they are so comfortable that I can't feel them. Putting them in will take some getting used to. I'm right handed, so the left went in easy peasy but the right was a little bit of a challenge, the back was kind of small for me to hold (and I have tiny hands/fingers), but I got it done! I'm sure if I take them on and off more, I'll get used to it. I don't really plan on taking them out often - I wanted something that I can wear in public and still looked decent. For $25, I'm super happy with these. Will update this review if there are any issues.*****UPDATE***** I have now had these about 5 weeks. I took them out for the first time and when I put them back on, one of the backs wouldn't tighten all the way. It fell off and I lost the back. I was still in my return window so was able to get another pair, but I couldn't find where I got get some additional backs. These backs definitely feel like they screw in tighter, but they are hard to take on and off. Removing one star for those reasons. They are still really comfortable and I don't even notice them when I'm sleeping. I may be looking for a unicorn but I'll still look for a pair that are easier to take on and off, but these are still a good pair of earrings.

I've had pierced ears for... 50+ years and these are the most comfortable earrings I've ever owned. I can sleep in them, wind my hair up in a towel, wear an ear warmer band and have no discomfort of posts poking into my neck, wires twisting or getting caught in stuff. The bezel set CZ is a believable size. These would be a great stocking stuffer or gift.

These are very cute and comfortable. They are convenient for multiple day use as sleeping with them is very comfortable. The issue is putting them in and removing them. They are tiny and the “back” is a small flat sided circle which is impossible to hold and then turn. I dropped the piece at least 4 or 5 times with each side and finally gave up until my son grabbed it and helped me. Not sure how easy it will be to remove but not looking forward to it. Thank goodness they look pretty good because I may have to wear them until one of us (me or the earrings) comes to an end.

I have multiple earring piercings on my ear on the lobe and cartilage. I have super sensitive skin though that is allergic to most alloy metals. Plus I like to leave the harder areas in all the time, so I was constantly losing earrings, not to mention being stabbed in the head from the posts when I slept. These resolve all of these issues and look great! The silver is kind to sensitive skin. The short posts are perfect for long term wear and the rounded screw backs are so comfortable against your head, you’ll forget they’re there. It can be a bit of a challenge to get the backings on as they are smaller and smooth, try wrapping tape around the tip of your fingers to get a better grip.

I would like the gem size to be a bit larger yet that is my only negative about the product

The earings where very nice however the earing was too heavy with the backing and never stayed flat to the ear. Ended up sending them back

Most comfortable earrings ever. Can wear them 24/ 7 no irritation!
