First it acts perfects exactly as what it says . I usually used it once a week for few hours and after a month it stopped working because it was flooded with water seems the water did not came from the cap because I always make sure it is tightly closed and when I opened the cap the battery area was dry but the circuit board beneath was full of water and moist. So for a month of use this item does not worth the price .

Love this thing. Works exactly as advertised which, let’s be honest for a product claiming to to do the things it can at this price range is far worth the value. Used it 2 times underwater at about 20ft max depth free diving at a busy kayak rental place and found tons of valuables. Sensitivity on this thing is great it picks up readings on things the size of Bobby pins or just tiny fleks of metal. Found coins, sunglasses, an iPhone, knives, vapes, a helmet a wallet etc. Tons of weird stuff... This thing is a lot of fun. I recommend getting dive gear to use this properly if you want to make the most out of it. Mask fins a snorkel and a weight belt is all you really need.To address somebody else’s review my unit is completely waterproof at the depth mentioned and construction/design besides the led indicator light (kinda looks like it might get clipped off if you’re not careful) seems decent and well worth the price.

Looks and feels a great bit of kit, however if they put a rubber washer on the metal seal it would greatly improve the waterproofing. I purchased some cheap rubber washers that fit the top. Hopefully removing any chance of leaks. See pictures! It’s a really good seal

This detector works great underwater and works well so far. The only thing I don’t love about it is that it’s hard to shut off. Like other buyers have mentioned the shut down sequence doesn’t always work. You have to try it so many times I’ve just learned to pull the 9v battery out when I’m out of the water. Also if you do manage to shut it down with the sequence, any movement after seems to turn it back on.Other than that the thing is awesome and sensitive. I found quite a few things my first trip out. Also before you screw the end on after putting in the battery, make sure the rubber gasket is clear of sand or anything else that would prevent a tight seal against the pvc innards of the battery compartment. One other thing I’ve done is use the yellow lanyard to carry the screw on cap after removing the battery. You can’t get the cap back on if there is no battery inside from my experience so the lanyard works well to hold the cap if you slide the plastic wrist adjustment spring tight against the cap and the end of the loop.

Light weight works good worth the money

Used it for the first time at 2 to 3 ft. It broke in 10 minutes of use. Really disappointing. Followed all the instructions and made sure the seal was tight. Its a a crappy mechanism.
