I read the book. It arrived in pretty good condition. On the 26 February

An amazing history of one man's ambition and achievements. All the more amazing because it is absolutely true. Certainly a well told geographical and political spectrum of England during the time of the Napoleonic wars, as well as Britain's role in the rise of South American independence from Spain. I can't think of any contemporary naval hero who achieved so much in his lifetime against so many odds through sheer effort and determination. A very enjoyable and entertaining read.

I bought this book for my husband. He had read another about Cochrane and much preferred this one. It is full of riveting real life adventures. He was quite a character.
