I'll give them to the handyman who helps me with Honeydos.When I tried to see if I made an error, the item's link led me to a similar product which said. 6".Read several options very carefully before buying any one.I have now ordered something else (1 inch: opening), and only by enlarging one of the illustrative pictures was I able to see that indeed, the end of each handle does have a hole punctured. This can be a handy feature for adding a ring and using for keys or to hang whatever the clamp is holding.I suppose a person who makes things would already know a lot of this, but since they hold firmly and stand out in a pile of documents, or clipped to an object to provide a handle--for me they have many office and household uses.

Wow these are bad. I got them to hold our pool cover on our above ground pool, there’s no tension it’s just to hold the cover from sliding into the pool. One broke right a way then a few minutes three more broke, I am assuming by the morning they will all be broken. I do not recommend this product.

7 of the 12 orange hinges on top have come off because the plastic pin holding it, broke. With the tension of that spring, no way should a plastic pin be holding those orange caps on. Very cheaply made. A waste of money.

I used these clamps to secure a tarp to a seven by two inch board, placing the clamp on the two inch edge. Within 24 hours, one clamp broke. I replaced it and then another broke. Within a day or two two more broke. All seem to snap at the same location, which tells me they have some sort of weakness from the molding process. No way they are heavy duty. Light duty only.

When I used the clamps all the little yellow flatends came off. They have a pin that is supposed to hold them in place but they come off just by touching them.Wish I had paid more for a better clamp.

I use these to clamp my shade cloth to my garden. They barely fit over my 1.5” wood. 2 of them have snapped under the pressure.

The very first time I used these clips, the orange ends fell off. The black part of the clip seems sturdy but the orange ends that protect the item you are clipping do not hold up.

These are great clips. The spring is very sturdy and strong. We use them around the farm to secure our feed bags and anything else that we need. Great set of clips for the money.
