Jobe's Daughter: A Jobe Carson Mystery (Book 1)

I enjoyed this character quite a bit. One gets tired of reading books about or from a character that is too good, or smart or macho. Usually it's all three.I'm looking forward to the next book!

Farmer's first book starts off slow, but when it gets going it's well worth the wait. I love that Jobe the detective and his three kids solve the mystery together. Their family dynamic is very authentic. A book that manages to tug the heartstrings while whipsawing between being gruesome and fun. The book that started it all.

I really enjoyed this book! I am not a huge murder mystery fan, but Jobe really got my interest! He's a real guy with real issues as a single dad of teens, like what to cook for dinner, but is solving the murder at the same time! His network of people in his life is interesting to say the least! The writing is witty and laugh out loud funny. I finished this and quickly downloaded the sequel to see what happened to Jobe next!

I absolutely loved the first book. It was so good that I ended up ordering all 6, I am now starting book 4. Once you start it's hard to stop, addicting and a fun read!
