Recipes good, index maddening.
These are nice Mexican recipes.. The pineapple tarte tatin was gorgeous. Looking forward to making the chile non carne - only try to find it in the index! Not under its name or the main ingredients.Pineapple salad has a hot dressing that apparently makes it delicious. Important ingredient scotch bonnet salsa. 2 spoons. Cannot find a recipe for it in the index, or indeed the book. No hint whether you can buy it.These are frustrating. Otherwise quite good.

Too difficult for the home cook
The ingredients are too difficult to source and the recipes would require hours and hours in the kitchen. Too much for the home cook. I’ll stick with going to the restaurant!

So many everyday, uncomplicated mexican comfort food recipes
I was a bit daunted at first reading through the ingredient recommendation chapter at the beginning as I couldn't find all the different chillis etc, but Thomasina makes substitution recommendations and actually these work great. Once I've read through a recipe once or twice they have all been pretty easy to make. I've also found that mixing and matching the sides and salsas that weren't necessarily the recommended ones have worked brilliantly too. The best recipe book I've had in years (and a refreshing change from peering at my phone while cooking!!)

Delicious and inspirational
The soy, ginger and lime cauliflower tacos were delicious! Already dreaming about making them again. The only 'issue' I've found is that a lot of the dressings, salsas etc require a lot of different ingredients, which can work out quite expensive for an everyday meal - but I just substituted with what I already had in the cupboard. Over all, loving this cookbook so far. Would 100% recomend to fellow veggies.

A carnivore luving veggie!!
I do love my meat but interspersed with flavoursome veggies this book is just the ticket.
