Excellent model, heavy for its size & impressively detailed; take it apart many ways....
What a great model of the heart and associated structures! And, a small labeled poster is included with several images of the actual heart model (not just an uncredited diagram from an old, out of copy-right text that looks nothing like the model in question that so many brands provide). The model is life-sized, heavy for its size and feels very sturdy. It comes apart in several different ways for closer inspection and study of internal features. And once, reassembled, it stays together thanks to magnets (and some plastic pegs). I've seen many anatomical models that have to be held together with rubber bands, or worse, have missing pieces. The model is beautifully painted and the degree of detail is very impressive. I really like how the base is actually the diaphragm and in addition to the great vessels, the trachea, esophagus and thymus gland are also included (and a bit of the liver). Want to see the entire heart in many different views? Remove the thymus, take the heart off the base for a closer look, leaving the esophagus, aorta and trachea behind (or take them off, too). Want to view the interior of the two atria? Both auricles can be removed. What about the ventricles? A section of the anterior wall of each of them can be removed. Take the atria off for a completely different view of the four chambers and valve + entrances/exits of the great vessels. So many features to ID and functions to demonstrate.... This model would be great for A&P students to supplement the limited time available in the lab and reinforce what is learned in lecture. It would be useful in medical offices as well. This model is well worth the current price of $109.99.

Great learning tool
Just playing with this, taking it apart, and putting it back together has been cool to look at the pieces from different angles and then compare them to the diagram.I took Anatomy and Physiology classes in college before changing my major and earning an accounting degree, and there aren't enough ways to draw the heart, or to draw slices of it, that compare to holding this and taking it apart, inspecting the pieces it connects to from different angles, putting it back together... The heart is just such a complicated, cool muscle that connects to the circulatory system and the pulmonary system...Just touching this and turning it over in my hands is helping me so much more than coloring all those Gray's Anatomy diagrams... As fun as those were. It's 1.5 times the size of the actual muscle, so easier to see and inspect while still being similar.I love this model, I wish I'd had it back in college, but also back long before that.

Cool life sized heart model
Overall, I think that this is a very cool life-size heart structure, including the thymus gland. It comes with a pretty detailed model an enemy and identification which is just very helpful to study. The base is also very sturdy, and the model very detailed. However, it is about $100 more expensive than the other heart model from the same brand. I have to flip back and forth and see why the significant price difference and found that of course, this is much more detailed, and pretty much all the parts could be taking apart, whereas the other model could only be dissected in half. Another thing is this weighs more than twice as heavy, and I believe is twice the size also. I can see this model being displayed and studied in anatomy labs.

Great educational tool for learning about the human heart.
I have a keen interest in human anatomy. My children are also interested in learning about the human body because two of them wish to become cardiologists one day. This heart model is life size and very detailed. I like how it allows for hands-on exploration of the anatomy and structure of the human heart. The pieces contain magnets that hold everything together. This set includes an illustrated diagram of the heart model printed on a small and thin sheet of paper. I plan on getting this small poster laminated so that it will be more durable and last longer.

Not a "working" heart model
this is a nice model and good for teaching. However, it is NOT a "working" heart model. A working heart implies that it can pump fluid.

Used to explain to child his fathers illness and upcoming heart surgery
Thus model proved to be a great tool to show a young child his fathers heart illness and explain the upcoming surgery. The kid was confused and knew that his dad was losing weight and his dad had no more energy in his dad‘s body with swelling due to a torn mitral valve and this model was used to explain before the surgery. Now that the surgery is over and his dad is mending it provided a huge level of comfort to the child.

Great tool for A&P class!!
I already have the cheaper heart model from the same brand and that was a good one but this one is next level - it can be taken apart completely so you can study the insides in different areas, and it’s super easy to put back together again. It helps me to have access to these models at home during my A&P classes, and I also use them during tutoring to help others understand concepts better. This is a great model!

Magnetic human heart model.
The media could not be loaded. This human heart model is nice for those who want to learn the pieces of the heart. It came with a manual that list the parts. You can take them out and put them together and they click in nicely. The heart itself sit on a large diaphragm. For $125, I would say it's a bit expensive. For the quality. But overall, if you have the money, you will not regret it. You will learn the anatomy of the heart at least superficially.

Me gustó lo que se puede demostrar a los alumnos con la réplica del corazón, por su puesto que el tamaño es lo que no me gustó, claro para el precio es un excelente producto
