Lisle 14500 35/36mm Low Profile Fuel Filter Socket

Works great in hard to reach places.We work in alot of Dodge Caravans and the filter housing is under air filter tube.So the low profile sockets make it alot easier.Lisle is good quality.

There's a dozen or more seller/manufacturers here selling the identical chrome 32mm low profile oil filter socket, and I was excited when I found this Lisle black finished socket. Country of Origin: USA listed right in the product description. My experience with Lisle has been decent quality USA made sockets, with great customer service. The picture made this appear to be a black phosphate finish on a raw steel socket. I was willing to pay a bit more than the generic chrome 32mm cost, to support Lisle.Super disappointed when this arrived to see Made in China, and the finish is a semigloss non-porous black coat of some kind. Not a black phosphate, not made in USA. Functionally this will do the job just fine on the 2015 Mini Cooper I need it for. The ultra cheap plastic oil filter cap on the Cooper is too close to an aluminum angle under the radiator, so you can't fit a conventional 32mm 1/2 drive socket. On the Cooper you first remove a smaller plug so the oil filter drains, then you unscrew the cap. Meanwhile the cap continues to drain into your socket, so this tool would be better if the 3/8" drive hole was blind so the oil would collect in the socket instead of dribbling down the ratchet and down your arm to your armpit.If I'd known this Lisle socket was made in China I would not have bought it. Lisle - what are you thinking? 3 stars for a false Country of Origin claim and a misleading picture.

This is a nice set of sockets for those cartridge style filters. Nice build quality and a nice plastic case to keep them in.

If you buy this socket set you will never need to get another socket for filter on light duty and most heavy duty engines snap on, Mac tools, matco tools, and Cornwell use the same sockets just rebranded

Only needed one size but bought the kit anticipating more needs. Sure enough my daughter's new car needs a different size. Glad I paid a bit more for the kit. Makes changing oil a breeze.

Nice to see Lisle still has quality made in the USA products. I don’t understand why high quality brands go to China and get junk to end up losing their quality prestige they once had.
