Get these and the Fiskars Power Gear2
If you do a lot of 'lopping', you really need more than one type. These are very well built and will usually cut green wood up to 3/4" very easily. For bigger diameter and dried wood you will need the Fiskars Power Gear. With the Power Gear you need to be able to open the handles up to almost 180 degrees for larger wood, which is their downside because you sometimes can't get them open that much in some situations, plus that is a lot of extra arm movement if you're doing a lot of lopping. This is where these loppers shine, as you can latch onto branches without opening them very much at all. Less movement, less work. Strong sharp blades and well built. Get both, be happy.

Incredibly string and top quality
These pruners work well and this is my second pair. I have several properties with lots of trees that require pruning. I bought the second to have at my other property. My first pruners are over ten years old and have held up well. I may replace the cutting edge in a year or two. The new pair work better than the old and I cut through limbs larger than I should thus the need for shoulder surgery. These pruners are strong and well built.

Good n heavy
Heavy loppers work well but are too heavy for all day use

Cuts cleanly for 1.5" branches
30" is a tad shorter than the pruning loppers I was replacing. This Fiskars one is quite heavy, evenly distributed across the entire unit. I am not that strong so I have to use my bodyweight to balance on 1-1.5" branches. When the blade cuts, it is quite smooth and cuts cleanly.I will use these for smaller branch pruning, but will need to look for another tool for 1.5" and larger branches.Fiskars Forged Lopper with Replaceable Blade (30 Inch)

Sturdy!
I use clippers a lot to trim noble trees for making wreaths. This clipper is sharp and sturdy enough for all my needs.

Heavy duty
This is a tool that if used correctly and cared for, will last a lifetime. No thin stamped metal here, all heavy duty forged iron. They have some heft to them but that was well worth the durability to me.
