ok hair with small volumn for each hank
The quality of the hair is ok, as well as the length. However, the volume of each hank is really low for a full size violin bow. With the 3 hanks, it is not even enough to rehair two bows.

Worst quality Bow hair replacement I have EVER been sold!
At least 1/3 of the hair broke under little to no stress at all..1/4 being almost microscopic in size..and the vast majority of the hairs that are of working size break like a ramen noodle..I have received great horsehair from this seller on other occasions, but this order is unbelievably inferior... weaker and poorer quality that even some that I knew were from female horses, and had been urinated on then bleached...SELLER, FOR NOW, BECAUSE OF OUR PAST TRANSACTIONS.. I AM STAYING WITH YOU (AND URGE OTHERS TO GIVE YOU A CHANCE) ON THE PRESUMPTION THAT YOUR SUPPLIER JUST SLIPPED THIS JUNK BY YOU..and with this reminder: Quality Control is well worth its weight!

For experienced repairman.
I wanted to learn how to replace my own. Haven't used them yet. Watch a few utube videos and found out I need some tools to get started. The ends on these are just glued no mounting pins for top like on expensive bows.

Didn't produce a good sound
The bow hair didn't seem to be catching the strings that well. Sounded muted and squeaky. I tried to be cheap--hair is hair, right. But, the quality of bow hair and strings makes a huge difference.

Seems to work.
I'm not sure what makes horse hair good or bad. I have seen a hank of hair a few dollars up to $20 dollars. Is one hank really worth 10 times the price of another hank? I do like that the length was slightly longer than other hanks I've seen. I didn't care for the amount of glue used on the knotted end of the hank.

Kind. Of thin. Seemed to be skimpy on the hair

Very poor quality
About 1/3 of the hair on each hank comes already broken or disconnected from the tied end of the hank before you remove it from the packaging. Save your money for a better quality product.
