Too Good to be True?
Perhaps you like to rock out in the shower? Play some mellow music as you and your buds enjoy a clean game of Cards Against Humanity. Or maybe you like to listen to your favorite podcast while you study or cook dinner. If you are then you’ve no doubt encountered the issue of your standard iPhone speaker not being loud enough for you. You’ve tried positioning your phone just right, engineered an amplifier out from nothing but your phone and a cup even given in and spent money on a bluetooth speaker. All of which left you yearning for something more, an all in one answer to your woes both in the shower and at the party. The Peri Duo is a Case sporting a 2900 mAh battery as well as a high fidelity speaker which claims to exceed the max sound of a standard iPhone by ten times.Ten times the volume of your phone plus an added 120% battery life?! A device so amazing it’s almost too good to be true. But is it too good to be true? This iPhone case claims to solve the two largest problems plaguing ever iPhone user. Sound and Battery. Coming in 4 color schemes: Red, Black, White, and the Rhymesayers version the Peri Duo is very aesthetically pleasing. To use the case simply push down on the lightning connector slide, lay the iPhone in and close the slide. The case a first glance appears bulky and heavy but actually only weighs about 5 ounces and doesn’t increase the bulk of a phone all that much. In fact even with the case on I was still able to hold my phone using my phone car mount. The back of the case reveals the two powerful speakers as well as 4 buttons, 3 led icons and a microphone. The case uses a micro usb cable to charge it and leave an opening for the headphone jack. The case also includes a audio jack extension cable in the packaging to use with the case. On the side of the case is a switch which will control the use of the battery either turning it on to charge the phone or leaving it off to use for the speakers. The Speaker itself can either be connected to through the lightning connector on the case or using bluetooth. Bluetooth capability means that either you or your friends can link another device to the case in order to play music. In order to change between bluetooth and a hard connection, simply hold down on the bottom bluetooth button. The other three buttons control power, volume, and the peri duo even includes a quick play button to automatically open up a set up playlistBut how does it sound? When I first received the Peri Duo I was blown away by the sound quality, looking through amazon reviews you’ll find people drooling over the incredible power packed within this case.Unfortunately the Peri Duo stopped working nearly two days after I received the case without receiving any drops or damage. After being heartbroken over the discovery of my faulty speakers I took to the internet where I found I was not the only person having issues involving the speakers failing to work. For the time in which the case was actually working I thoroughly enjoyed it, I as well as all of my friends were blown away by the sound clarity, loudness, and bass. But because I and other individuals have received cases with faulty speakers it leads me to worry that quality control in Peri’s products could use improvement.Overall it’s an incredible product but if you don’t want to spend $120 dollars on a gamble on the speakers not working you may want to wait until they produce a future version which works out any quality control issues they may have had.Needless to say I sent mine back and will be waiting for gen2

Strange product with the fantastic alternative option!!!
Perfect product for my teenagers!!!!! After installation, the phone STOPed produces a sound totally!!!!! Finally, the house was quiet and peaceful !!!! Thank you for the device, that can make this reality!!!!Truly, this is not what the product was designed for. Tried on the two phones. Same scenarios. As soon as you install the case, the sound on the phone and the case speakers stop working. It makes no difference on the connection method (Directly, Bluetooth, or WiFi). We tried on the two phones with the same results. Tried to connect to the customer service to get instructed to return the device for a refund as it is damaged. This product is perfect as a power bank or the additional power source for your phone BUT speakers will not work.

A Quality Case with Many Features Including Battery and Speakers
When this new iPhone 6 case arrived, I was amazed at the quality of the construction. It is 1st Class! I know my phone will be protected now that it is inside this case. But that's not the half of it. All the features it brings: built-in Bluetooth speaker for music and phone calls, Wi-fi to to steam music off the Net, even if it's not attached to the phone, a battery with 120% extra power to recharge my phone. And it's all in a package that wraps right around my iPhone 6. It even came charged so I was able to slide my phone right in as soon as the UPS guy dropped it off and I pulled it out of the package. The speakers sound great. One thing I have always wanted was more sound out the weak little speaker of my iPhone 6, now I have it. Now if I can just get my friends to get this case because you can hook up multiples and share the same great music with it's "Quick Link" feature.

Love this thing!
I have had this for about a month and I love it! It can be turned up to full and there's no distortion. I'm extremely satisfied with the sound quality; music and spoken word. I have only used the bluetooth or with the phone in the cradle, not the home wi-fi or away wi-fi mode. Sometimes the volume is louder in bluetooth mode vs in the cradle, but after using the Duo awhile, you figure out how to get the volume you want. The battery works great for charging my iphone. I was considering buying a new battery for my phone, but this solved the issue, at least for now. I keep my phone in it 99% of the time and when my phones battery drops to 30%, I usually plug the Duo in and charge both. I did accidently get the Duo to switch to deep sleep mode. It won't work in that situation but I turned off the charging switch and then turned the Duo off and on and it was ok. I can't speak to how long the battery lasts while listening to music because I haven't used it that way. There was onetime that I was using it in bluetooth for a phone call and it started to break up when I went upstairs, probably 20 to 25 feet from my iphone in the living room. But I find it works best for me to keep the phone in the cradle. It can get a little heavy and bulky when I put it in my jacket pocket, but I can live with it. Having a battery and speaker in one is fabulous! I have an old car so it's great to have it playing music in the car. I haven't taken a phone call through the Duo, but I have used it after I accept a call. I think it works much better then the speaker phone setting on the iphone! I hear the person on the other end and they hear me just fine, once I figured out that the microphone was the tiny hole next to the bluetooth, wi-fi symbols! I recommend checking out their website for more info. They are coming out with one for the iphone 7 and 7s. They have one now for iphone 6s. Lastly, I have shown the Duo to numerous people and they think it's really cool. My friends with iphone 6 and 7 are going to buy one after seeing mine. My one concern is that the little switch to charge the phone is on the side and sticks out a tiny bit. It would be very easy to accidently turn on the switch (if it were inside your backpack, pocket etc) which could throw the Duo into deep sleep mode to protect the Duo battery. I have thought of putting a small piece of tape over it, but that would probably get gummy and so I just keep an eye on it. I suspect the designers will fix this on future Duos.
