I LOVE this coloring book, I’m not done with it but I have learned so much!!!Although this is something that if you aren’t interested in actually learning this is not for you.For Vet techs, and adults wanting to further their education in a fun way it’s awesome!

I like the way this book has you write the anatomical names (answers are on the back of the page you color) as it’s a nice way to help learn. However I was a little disappointed that many of the drawings are nearly duplicates of another coloring book -Horse Anatomy by John Green. I’ve included a photo of the John Green drawing on the left and the Elaine Heney book on the right. The author of the book I am reviewing contacted me and has assured me that she purchased the images from a professional illustrator who licenses the images to multiple people and it is not an exclusive agreement, therefore no copyright infringement. The Horse Anatomy Coloring Book does have more images that are not duplicates of the previously mentioned book as well, so it is certainly worth buying even if you do have the other one.The other disappointment I found is that some of the drawings are very small. I would have liked to see them larger and as some other pages do have larger drawings I’m not sure why some are so minuscule.Overall a nice addition to your anatomy learning library!

This coloring book has good illustrations. I’m a physical therapist and I was excited to learn equine anatomy to include a coloring book like I had in PT school, but unfortunately found typos (i.e. metacar pal instead of metacarpal, redialis instead of radialis as well as wrong anatomical labels, such as on pages 35-36 - the book labels 3 areas of the skull as scapula, humerus, deltoid tuberosity of humerus. I may not be an expert at equine anatomy, but those are wrong and now I’ll need to comb through the book with a reliable reference book to proof it before I do my coloring. Ultimately, I’ll learn well, but if I didn’t have knowledge of human anatomy, I wouldn’t have caught these errors and it’s not fair to people who trust this as a source for learning equine anatomy.

So I’m not sure I’d 100% label this a coloring book, but it is a fantastic work book for equine anatomy. You definitely can color things in, but know just like on a real animal the actual line of where it starts & ends might vary. It was definitely designed for professionals who are intimately familiar with the medical terms for muscles, tissues and etc but as a die hard equine enthusiast it allowed me to dive deeper and stare at some anatomy images hardcore to learn and piece things together. Overall I love this. Perhaps my favorite TikTok find of all time!

This is for a college level all Latin names for the parts of the horse. I wish common definitions were added. Answers are on the back and you write the answers on the front. Good for pre- veterinarians. But impractical for the lay person.

purchased this for my Equine Musculoskeletal systems class and it really helps me! i learn through touch and visual so this is a gem!

I am very impressed with this book. Along with it being an activity book it should also be considered a textbook for horse anatomy. The detail is amazing and I would recommend the book to be used by kids and horse lovers.

This is an easy to read, easy to learn, and easy to understand anatomy Coloring book! It’s an awesome learning tool for the horse lover of any age. I love Elaine’s books!

Jag beställde till Caddy Life 2008 med stor baklucka. Det ser ut att passa, men när jag ska montera så verkar det svårt att få in lampan på plats med de kontakter som ska göra kontakt.så det verkar lite för brett. Men skruvhålen var rätt storlek. Ska göra nya försök. Så funktion vet jag inte ännu.

I bought this for a friend who is recovering from a riding accident in hospital. She loved it! It has plenty of fun facts, plus it has the answers if you’ve forgotten some of the anatomy names! Some of the diagrams are quite complex to colour in so might be easier with a coloured pencil for better accuracy, but sharp pens work too!Would buy again!

How the illustrations help me connect theoretical knowlege and practical thinking.

Very technical, not really for the average horse owner! Definitely more targeted at vet students.
