Many seeds, some experience or research helpful when growing for the first time!
Plenty of viable seed in the pack, decent value for the price...that's all you get though! No instructions or tips provided! I would recommend researching on how to properly grow these indoors or out, as they are a bit tricky, and it took several YouTube videos to get the idea on how to grow them correctly! Germination was relatively easy, again, I recommend them to experienced growers and / or educating oneself before buying. Would purchase again.

Great viable seeds, already notched
Fabulous healthy viable seeds! The pic is 5 days from delivery in August greenhouse (Consistently over 80°F, under 95)= 7" long sprouts with leaf buds on 27 of 30 seeds! Some warnings. BUYER BEWARE- many of the seller pictures are water lilies NOT lotus. Lotus dont come in many of those colors. They will be pink, white, pale yellow. There are no bright red or purple lotus. They will not bloom their first summer, and north of zone 9-10, possibly not their second without some assistance (heated water and artificial light) and can not survive freeze. They go dormant when temps get below ~75. They do want hot all day summer sun.A mature lotus plant costs about $100 in my local pond shop, Im totally willing to spend $8 and 18 months, even in NYC, to have them bloom in my pond next year. The best part is they abrade the sead coat for you, so all you have to do is put them in water (at least to start).Do your research, so you know what to do long term- but if you want to grow lotus, this seed is flawless. If I think of it, Ill come back next year and let you know what colors bloomed.

Great growth, few flowers
The picture is year two and we never had to re buy seeds, so that’s impressive. Huge beautiful leaves, love to see the water droplets. Didn’t get many flowers (one) the first year, we’ll see about this one!

Hard to grow
I had no luck getting these to grow in my large aquarium. Plenty of substrate, expensive grow lights and plenty of fish to poop nutrients into the water, and the leaves never even opened. The seeds would sprout and put out multiple stems, but would never open up.On top of that, less than 24 hours after putting a couple of seeds into my aquarium, my pet crawfish died. I can't definitively say the two things are related, but something to keep in mind if your tank/pond has crustaceans.

Amazing
All but 2 or 3 sprouted within a couple days and grew amazingly fast. My only issue was changing the water daily. They are so delicate and the new stems kept breaking off. Next time I will use a turkey baster and suck the water out. I'm new to lotus plants so this is a learning experience for me. Thankfully they are cheap and I can try again. The picture I attached isn't great but basically I planted them in a two foot tall glass container and put them in a two foot deep pond. I was hoping that would protect them from the koi but recent rain over filled the pond and the koi grabbed the lotus stems and pulled them out of the container. My plan was to use the lotus as shade for my koi but now I'm going to have to rethink my strategy.

75% of them sprouted without issue, but
I followed the instructions on how to get them to germinate and it worked on most of them. Probably around 20 of the 30 sprouted. However, once they grew to be about 8 inches, I translated them into our fish tank with low flow; two months later, only 1 of the 20 planted survived. The one that did survive is doing amazing, but it's really unfortunate that one 1/30 made it. The other 19 continued to grow, but they never unrolled their pads once they broke the surface, ultimately killing themselves off. I'm sure it's partially user error, but the fact that one survived but the rest didn't is curious.

Easy to grow. Pre cut.
These are relatively simple to grow. Put them in a glass of water until they have some roots, be sure to change the water every day or so or it will get murky and have an odor. Once mine had roots I put them in a medium/large pot with mud from the back yard and anchored them with some little stones and that’s it. I didn’t get flowers last year but I started them pretty late. I’m using leftover seeds this year and they’ve all sprouted except one. Fingers crossed for some blooms!Mine have been a little finicky when I transfer them but they bounce back quickly.

Difficult
Had very little success would have them growing perfectly then just die.
