Nice mallet
I have used this mallet a few times and so far it functions as advertised. It’s solid and sturdy and has handled the work very well.

Nice mallet for a beginning woodworker
First, a comment on another review suggesting the head is poorly glued onto the handle... The head isn't glued onto the handle at all, and that's by design. I can only assume that the reviewer has never made or used a mallet with a tapered mortise and tenon construction. The handle slots easily through the top of the head, but due to the taper is incapable of coming off while you're using it. In fact, the more you use it, the tighter the connection will become. But if the handle breaks, or if you just want to remove it so the mallet will pack into a slightly smaller space, you just have to give the bottom of the mallet handle a few sharp taps on your workbench. The reviewer might have mistaken drippings from the varnish as glue, since it seems like the varnish was applied while the mallet was assembled. That said, this is a perfectly adequate block of wood on a stick, which is the main thing you want out of a wooden mallet. I really only have two complaints about it.The first is that it's slightly smaller than I'd prefer. It's a good size for fine work, but it's a bit small and light for working on larger furniture pieces or carpentry. This isn't necessarily a problem depending on the type of work you're going to be doing, and I really should have paid more attention to the listed dimensions. If you're looking for something for light work, this is a perfectly good mallet. The second issue is a combination of price and construction. The handle isn't terribly comfortable for extended use, which is certainly remedied fairly easily. But I'd be more comfortable to shaping and smoothing the handle if the price were just a bit lower. Maybe it's just because I could make a nearly identical mallet out of scrap wood in a fairly short time, given the right tools. (I bought this mallet because I don't currently have access to tools or a workshop, but needed to pound on something.)But it's certainly not a bad mallet by any means. And the price is pretty reasonable, especially if you're just getting into woodworking and don't know how to cut a tapered mortise to make your own mallet. I just wish I the handle were shaped a bit better so I didn't have to do it myself in order to use the mallet comfortably for more that a few swings, or that it were a few dollars cheaper to account for the work put into making it more usable.

great product
great hammer, perfect size, at most, handle is a bit sharp on the edges, but just sand it down a little bit and its perfect.

Great for what I need
This is a wooden mallet, I'm striking it against metal tools, it's denting it quickly, but that's to be expected, it won't last forever, but for the price you can't expect it to, it's a wooden mallet, not something that will last a lifetime. Over all a great mallet for the price

Nice chisel mallet
Very nice chisel mallet, the head has to be glued in place, but works well.

Poor workmanship
Poor workmanship, weight is good but the handle needs some work at the grip & Worst of All is the handle Isn't sized to the head throughout... Poor workmanship
