I consider myself an experienced builder, I also work on mercedes for a living so I'm pretty good with my hands as well. I really wanted to like this build but as I got towards the end it just became almost impossible to build. The pieces don't snap together tight like a lego set does. It got to the point where I was spending more time fixing the things that fell off in the process of adding new parts. So I decide, ok I'll leave the fragile pieces off till the end then add them. Eventually I wasn't adding anything to the ship anymore and was just fixing the pieces that were falling off. I ended up not finishing the model because it was causing more frustration than enjoyment and that's not what the intent I when I build something. Other than that it is a very detailed well thought out kit and to those who finish, hats off to you.

Just something big to try and get together

What i loved about it is the attention to detail and and how beautiful the final product looks compared to the competition.What I completely disliked was several things:1. The pieces do not snap tight and fall off with a minimal movement. Specially when they have some weight on them or you try to fix something and another part comes off.2. The instructions are out of order. The base is built at the end instead at the beginning. Because of it pieces fall off while trying to put and snap the ship on top. Also there are tiny pieces you will need to put on in tight areas that were already done.3. You will need some type of adhesive to keep the parts from snapping off.Other than that, it is good product at the end.

This was a great build. No missing pieces, numbered bags, and it holds up like LEGO. Quick Tip: build the last bag display base first to help support the ship as you build from the beginning it helps out a lot!

I bought this set for my grandsons 15 birthday. He was so excited to get building! We were sorely disappointed! This set has so many missing pieces. He improvised at first but by the time he got to #3 bags he was at a point that he could nolonger improvise. He is visiting away from home and doesn't have access to his spare parts, so now he has to wait until he gets home to finish it with his spare pieces. This set was expensive and didn't come with any spare pieces or anyway to order spare prices for the set. I will never order from this company again.

I would give it five stars but the instructions are terrible but fight through it and it comes out really good.

This product was a lot of fun to build. There are some areas that are very tricky to assemble, which is a little frustrating. However, the booklet and tools to assemble are excellent. Great value!
