Excellent & detailed book on Panchang & Muhurtas.
Loved the book, as I was searching for some credible literature on the subject. Though read this book earlier, then read the next book in series ‘Nakshatras’, then again came back on this book. Simply excellent. The subject of this book is extremely interesting & important & often less regarded. But unfortunately not many good books are found on the subject. Specifically the information of South Indian astrology has been incorporated in this book. But I personally feel one must also read the later book Nakshatras with it for a comprehensive insight on the subject of Panchang.Full of surprising & interesting facts based on panchang. Apart from understanding the use of muhurtas, One can incorporate multiple vital points in natal chart predictions as well, and in judging the inherent strength/ weakness, dignity of planets in ones chart.Excellent inputs.

Among the finest books on Astrology
I am writing this review after having bought the latest book in this series, Book 8. I have also bought all the other books in this series - a total of 9, so far. I am, presently, reading these books randomly - those chapters and topics that interest me the most or where I need to improve my understanding the most. However, I have no doubt that I will have to read - in course of time, all these books, completely. When I started learning astrology, Sarajit Poddar's blogs were an invaluable resource - well researched, well written and well presented - not unlike this set of books. The entire collection (what is available and what may be available in future) is a must for most serious learners of astrology (only the very advanced students may not require it). These books require time and dedication and cannot be flipped through. For those who do it, it will add very significantly to their astrological ability and knowledge of theory. It is, quite simply, a must-have collection.

Encyclopaedia of Jyotish. In search means , an UNENDING JOURNEY towards perfection
These books are the Encyclopaedia in the making for astrology. A novice in astrology can make out on his own by studying these collection of master pieces .Though a new student needs some time ofsoaking for understanding and absorbing the basics, these books would definitely make that incubation period minimal, yet providing a strong framework and foundation for a permanent etching of concepts in a way that they are ought to be learnt. The pedagogy and approach of the books so far is in such a way that, any new learning of advanced concepts in future could be integrated with our past knowledge content seamlessly. The other fascinating aspect of these books is that all the references to the concepts are provided with the corresponding stanzas from the classics with clear numbers of chapters and slokas. This acts as a reinforcement not only to our conviction but also to counter fake astrologers who misquote scriptures without actual knowledge of them to support their fancy claims and fanciful predictions. The studying of the books and the style of writing is akin to peeling an onion one layer at a time, till we get to the core of it. Therefore there is no bemuse of fleeting comments that are cryptic or half baked and which needs the reader to again refer another book and loose interest because of dis connectivity arising because of contradictory view points. The enormous task taken up by the author to condense/ expand the astrology knowledge into 33 volumes itself is a testimony to the author’s undying passion to transfer knowledge in the form of a permanent repository for future generations. Internet and Technology has made even the esoteric and sanatan knowledge more accessible to many deserving as well as undeserving students alike. Thanks to Rahu in the 3rd sign of communication Gemini, recently amidst the global pandemic, the world had this chance of access to these kind of masterpieces of work, at ease. With reverences and Thanks to Shri. Sarjit Poddar Sir for providing light to several astrology enthusiasts and true seekers of astrology knowledge.
