I'm actually quite happy with this thermometer. I bought it to assist me in my efforts to "fine tune" the radiators in our central heating system, and it has been useful in achieving this.However, the images give the appearance of a robust device with rubber (or rubberised) "bumpers" to protect against knocks in use. This simply isn't the case - the enclosure is moulded in a rigid/hard plastic.But it works, which is all that's really needed.

The thermocouple reads a a degree or two high but overall it works well. I marked it down a bit due to the Amazon delivery driver who just dropped it on the front doorstep in full public view without even trying to knock on the door.

For those mad PlayStation consoles which hate a proper BGA machine and pop.I did the dodgy YouTube method.. I stuck it in the oven. BUT...BUT...I bought this very good dual thermal meter. It's very accurate and helped me fix the PS3 good and proper without bending the board or popcorning the CPU and GPU.

There are a lot of cheaper thermometers of this type for a much cheaper price but delivery was very quick and it worked first time

The unit arrives in a printed cardboard box that has specs and some information on it, the thermometer is placed inside alongside some AAA batteries and two K-type thermocouples in grip-seal pouches. It does look rugged, but as soon as you pick it up you realise it's a lightweight and thin feeling plastic shell. To put it in perspective just how thin the case is, the backlight for the screen bleeds through the side of the case when the device is powered on. It's not really a dealbreaker as long as it does the job, but if you need something that can take some abuse, this isn’t it.One major annoyance is that the thermometer doesn’t have a dedicated button to turn the backlight on or off so you have to press one of the other buttons which makes it turn on for about 5 seconds. The problem is that the button you press also does whatever it's supposed to, if you press the hold button it turns the backlight on but also enables hold mode even if you only wanted the backlight on. On the plus side the unit is very easy to read with the backlight on but it can be frustrating having to press a button or power cycle the unit to get it to light up.As part of my testing of the accuracy, I compared it directly to my multimeter’s thermocouple which I've used for years and trust for reliable readings. The meter itself is much more accurate than the included k-type probes, which limits it a little. It does register within a degree of the aforementioned multimeter k-type thermocouple. Having the two probes lets you do differential or averaged measurements. It's nice being able to monitor two entirely different things at once so you don't need to run multiple meters.The thermocouple connection ports use a common type of connection so it will be quick & simple to get replacement probes or alternative ones that are suitable for different applications. The provided ones will do the trick for most applications but they’re only good up to around 290-300c and then you’re getting into territory where you want some different ones.The price is comparable to other sellers who have the same model under a different brand name and it will do a reasonable enough job for general-purpose temperature monitoring. The only things really missing from this as a budget thermometer is a button to manually control the backlight and a carrying or storage case, otherwise it's decent enough for the money.

I bought this to check the bath temperature for my daughters bath. Very accurate and versatile bit of kit. Great quality too. Love how it can measure two remperatures at once.

Took delivery and attached sensors to pipes adjacent to boiler to read send and return temperatures to my central heating. Worked ok when both temperatures were the same with boiler off. However, when I turned CH on and the temperatures on the two pipes were different then the readings went haywire. In fairness they gave me my money back so no problem there.

Very impressed with this product at a reasonable price.
